Arthur's Quest (film)
''Arthur's Quest'' is an American fantasy film of 1999 directed by Neil Mandt and starring Catherine Oxenberg, Eric Christian Olsen, Arye Gross, and Alexandra Paul. Merlin rescues the young Arthur from Camelot and takes him to live in 20th-century North Anerica. Some ten years later, he returns home. Plot The film begins at Camelot with Morgana ( Catherine Oxenberg) murdering Arthur's father, Pendragon. Merlin ( Arye Gross) takes Arthur, a small boy, and the sword Excalibur through time to the US in the late 20th century. There, Caitlin Regal ( Alexandra Paul), a waitress, adopts Arthur. Ten years on, Arthur is a moody teenager who spends his time with Caitlin and his friend Gwen (Katie Johnston). Merlin returns for Arthur, who refuses to believe his story, but then Morgana also arrives, in pursuit of Excalibur. When she kidnaps Caitlin, Arthur takes Merlin's side. Neil Mandt
Neil Mandt is an American producer oThe Golden Globe Awards director and technology entrepreneur. He started becoming involved in film and TV in the 1990s. He has written, directed, produced, and acted in many different films and TV shows. Mandt has received 10 Emmy nominations and has won 5 Emmy Awards. Early life At the age of 20, Mandt was a winner of a College Emmy Award and then subsequently landed a job as the Entertainment Reporter at WDIV-TV4, the NBC affiliate in Detroit. Uther Pendragon
Uther Pendragon (Brittonic) (; cy, Ythyr Ben Dragwn, Uthyr Pendragon, Uthyr Bendragon), also known as King Uther, was a legendary King of the Britons in sub-Roman Britain (c. 6th century). Uther was also the father of King Arthur. A few minor references to Uther appear in Old Welsh poems, but his biography was first written down in the 12th century by Geoffrey of Monmouth in his ''Historia Regum Britanniae'' (''History of the Kings of Britain''), and Geoffrey's account of the character was used in most later versions. He is a fairly ambiguous individual throughout the literature, but is described as a strong king and a defender of his people. Merlin ( cy, Myrddin, kw, Marzhin, br, Merzhin) is a mythical figure prominently featured in the legend of King Arthur and best known as a mage, with several other main roles. His usual depiction, based on an amalgamation of historic and legendary figures, was introduced by the 12th-century British author Geoffrey of Monmouth. ''A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court'' is an 1889 novel by American humorist and writer Mark Twain. The book was originally titled ''A Yankee in King Arthur's Court''. Some early editions are titled ''A Yankee at the Court of King Arthur''. In the book, a Yankee engineer from Connecticut named Hank Morgan receives a severe blow to the head and is somehow transported in time and space to England during the reign of King Arthur. After some initial confusion and his capture by one of Arthur's knights, Hank realizes that he is actually in the past, and he uses his knowledge to make people believe that he is a powerful magician. Catherine Oxenberg (born September 22, 1961) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Amanda Carrington on the 1980s prime time soap opera ''Dynasty''. Oxenberg is the daughter of Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia and Howard Oxenberg.
