''Artemis'' is the fifth studio album by American violinist, singer, and songwriter Lindsey Stirling, released on September 6, 2019. Singles The first single, "Underground", was released on June 21, 2019. Its music video debuted the same day, and features cameo appearances by Sofie Dossi, BDASH, and Miranda Wilking. On July 5, 2019, the second single, "The Upside" was released. On August 3, 2019, a version of "The Upside" featuring Elle King was released as the third single. The second version of the song not only adds King's vocals, but also makes changes in the rest of the song. On August 26, 2019, the third single and title track, "Artemis", was premiered during a live virtual reality concert in the PC VR application Wave, which was also livestreamed and made viewable afterward on Lindsey Stirling's Facebook page and YouTube channel. Amy Lynn Hartzler (; born December 13, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She is the co-founder, lead vocalist, and lead songwriter of the rock band Evanescence. Lindsey Stirling (born September 21, 1986) is an American violinist, songwriter, and dancer. She presents choreographed violin performances, in live and music videos found on her official YouTube channel, which she created in 2007. Stirling performs a variety of music styles, from classical to pop and rock to electronic dance music. Aside from original work, her discography contains covers of songs by other musicians and various soundtracks. Her music video "Crystallize" finished as the eighth-most watched video of 2012 on YouTube, and her cover version of "Radioactive" with Pentatonix won Response of the Year in the first YouTube Music Awards in 2013. Mark Maxwell, aka SILAS, is an American songwriter, record producer, and film composer based in Los Angeles. He is best known for his work with Afrojack, Lindsey Stirling, 3OH!3, the Millionaires (band), and Itch. Maxwell co-wrote and produced seven songs for Lindsey Stirling's sophomore album ''Shatter Me'', which won the 2015 Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Album. Drew Sanderson Steen is an American professional drummer. Early life Steen was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He decided to start drumming at the age of 10 after watching his older brother Ryland Steen (currently the drummer of America and the former drummer of Reel Big Fish). Career In 2005 Steen moved to Southern California to pursue a career as a professional drummer. In 2006 he toured with the indie rock band The Elected, and in 2007 he toured with Annie Stela who opened for Paolo Nutini. In the time he has been in California, Steen has also worked with bands such as Suburban Legends, Paperface, Victory Season, The Secret Mind, and Upperville and was a member of the band Power Animal. Alex Seaver, better known by his stage name Mako, is an American music producer and DJ from Los Angeles. The project Mako originally started as a duo with producer Logan Light, who left the group in 2017. Mako rose to prominence in the electronic dance music scene from their single "Beam", which was remixed by Dannic on Revealed Recordings and played at festivals worldwide.
