Art in Ruins was formed in 1984 as a collaborative interventionist practice in art and architecture, staging exhibitions and publishing texts, by Hannah Vowles and Glyn Banks. Alex Coles. History and practiceArt in Ruins based in Bloomsbury, London, uses 1960s conceptual art strategies utilized by Art & Language and Gilbert and George. Frank Perrin
Frank Perrin is a French artist based in Paris who has spent the last ten years exploring the notion of Postcapitalism and compiling a compendium of our contemporary obsessions. From Joggers, and Yachts to Fashion Shows Postcapitalism is a metaphysical flipbook of the fundamental ideas of our era, where each photography becomes a new landscape of the unconscious and desires of today. Frank Perrin was formerly a philosophy teacher and an art critic. He started the photographic series of the Joggers in 1998 and the Fashion Shows in 2003. After founding the art review «Bloc Notes» in the early 1990s he began taking photographs. He is also the founding director of ''Crash Magazine''. Matthew Slotover (born 1968) is an English publisher and entrepreneur. He is co-founder of Frieze, a media and events company, which now includes the Frieze Art Fair, ''frieze'' and Frieze Academy. Early life Slotover was born in London and grew up in South Kensington. He attended St Paul's School, London and then studied Psychology at Oxford University. His paternal family (originally the Zlotovers) emigrated from Lithuania in the 1930s and settled in Newcastle. Slotover's father, Robert Slotover manages classical musicians including the composer Sir Harrison Birtwistle; his mother Jill Slotover is a children's book editor. Matthew's maternal grandfather, Richard Kravitz was an American magazine publisher who introduced '' Esquire'' and DC Comics to the UK. Véronique Joumard (born 1964 in Grenoble) is a French artist. Early life Véronique Joumard was born in Grenoble, France in 1964. She studying at the École supérieure d'Art de Grenoble. She began her career as an artist in 1987 with an exhibition at the Villa Arson in Nice. Work Joumard is a photographer, a sculptor and an installation artist. The Showroom
The Showroom is a not-for-profit art gallery in Marylebone, London, which displays site-specific works by emerging artists. The gallery presents four shows each year, a schedule that allows artists the time to develop and realise their work on site. Established in 1983, the gallery was based at a site in Bethnal Green, East London. In 2008, the gallery relocated to a building in Marylebone, London, on Penfold Street, which was converted by Berlin-based architects ifau + Jesko Fezer. Solo shows at The Showroom in the former East End space included Mona Hatoum, Sam Taylor-Wood, Simon Starling, Christina Mackie, Jim Lambie, Claire Barclay, and Eva Rothschild. Resonance 104.4 FM is a London based non-profit community radio station specialising in the arts run by the London Musicians' Collective (LMC). The station is staffed by four permanent staff members, including programme controller Ed Baxter and over 300 volunteer technical and production staff. Until September 2007, its studios were located on Denmark Street before moving to its present location at 144 Borough High Street, Southwark. The KW Institute for Contemporary Art (also known as Kunst-Werke) is a contemporary art institution located in Auguststraße 69 in Berlin-Mitte, Germany.
