''Art Bergmann'' is the third studio album by Art Bergmann, released in 1991 on Polygram Records. The album included the singles "Faithlessly Yours", "If She Could Sing" and "Message from Paul". "Faithlessly Yours" peaked at #11 on ''RPMs rock charts, and at #50 in the magazine's general ''RPM100''. "If She Could Sing" peaked at #63 in the ''RPM100''. "Message from Paul", a song about an obsessive Paul Westerberg fan, charted at rock radio but did not cross over to the mainstream charts. In 2017, Bergmann released a remastered edition of the album under the new title ''Remember Her Name''. |

Arthur Frank Bergmann (born February 8, 1953 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian rock singer-songwriter who was one of the key figures in Canadian punk rock in the late 1970s.Michael Barclay, Ian A.D. Punk bands Bergmann began his musical career with an Abbotsford band called the Mount Lehman Grease Band. After Mount Lehman folded, he founded his own band, called the Notorious Smorg Brothers, which he stocked with a myriad of different support artists. Bergmann was later the lead singer and songwriter for Vancouver punk stalwarts Young Canadians (formerly The K-Tels). Although the Young Canadians only recorded two independent EPs and a single before breaking up, their song "Hawaii" (co-written with Ross Carpenter) is one of the classic Canadian punk anthems. PolyGram N.V. was a multinational entertainment company and major music record label formerly based in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1962 as the Grammophon-Philips Group by Dutch corporation Philips and German corporation Siemens, to be a holding for their record companies, and was renamed "PolyGram" in 1972. Chris Wardman
Chris Wardman is a Canadian music producer, musician and songwriter. Wardman was a founding member of Blue Peter, and was their lead guitarist and main contributing songwriter. Wardman was also a member of Breeding Ground in the late 1980s. Wardman has been actively producing albums for many Canadian acts, including Chalk Circle, Leslie Spit Treeo, Randy Bachman and Emm Gryner. Wardman produced two albums for Art Bergmann, including '' Sexual Roulette'' in 1990. Meryn Cadell's most recent new release, 1997's ''6 Blocks'', was produced by Wardman, for which he hired, among others, former bandmate Jason Sniderman, and he performed on the album as well. ''What Fresh Hell is This?'' is the fourth studio album by Art Bergmann, released in 1995 on Epic Records. The album gets its name from a quotation by American wit Dorothy Parker. The album was written primarily while Bergmann was in rehab, recovering from his prior battles with drug addiction. In its year end poll of its newspapers' music critics, Southam Newspapers named the album as one of the ten best albums of 1995, with ''London Free Press'' critic Ian Gillespie lauding Bergmann as "a Canadian rock genius, doomed to hover around the edges of commercial obscurity", and ''Calgary Herald'' critic James Muretich calling the album "more tortured, timeless tunes of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll by Canada's subculture answer to Ray Davies, Leonard Cohen and Paul Westerberg". The ''Calgary Herald'' is a daily newspaper published in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Publication began in 1883 as ''The Calgary Herald, Mining and Ranche Advocate, and General Advertiser''. It is owned by the Postmedia Network. ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Canadian music charts ''RPM'' maintained several format charts, including Top Singles (all genres), Adult Contemporary, Dance, Urban, Rock/Alternative and Country Tracks (or Top Country Tracks) for country music. Paul Westerberg
Paul Harold Westerberg (born December 31, 1959) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the Replacements. Following the breakup of the Replacements, Westerberg launched a solo career that saw him release three albums on major record labels. Following the release of his third solo album, Westerberg has been mostly releasing music that he has self-produced and recorded in his basement home studio. He has also released two albums and an EP under the pseudonym Grandpaboy. In 2017, Westerberg released songs on SoundCloud as User 964848511 and on Bandcamp as Dry Wood Garage.
