Title The movie was tentatively named as ''Violenza carnale'' (''Sexual Assault''), which is also the name of the article of the Italian penal code which until 1996 applied to sexual violence mentioned in the final title. Maria Laura Rocca (5 October 1917 – 6 May 1999) was an Italian actress and writer. Life and career Born Maria Laura Gayno in Pasian di Prato, Udine, Rocca spent her adolescence in Genoa, her mother's birthplace. After acting in some amateur dramatics, she studied drama under Teresa Franchini, with whom she also made her professional debut on stage at 30 years old. In films, she was mainly active in supporting roles in adventure and Peplum film genre, peplum genres, sometimes credited as Manuela Kent. She retired from acting in the mid-1960s. In 1959, she was the author of the book ''Cina senza muraglia'', and in 1969, she wrote the film ''Mr. Superinvisible'', being credited as Mary Eller. Personal life In 1939, Rocca married Giuseppe Bisazza, and they had a son, Oreste. In 1948 she remarried to Italian Communist Party, Communist politician Umberto Terracini. Emilio Cardi Cigoli (18 November 1909 – 7 November 1980) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Cigoli was born in Livorno to actress Giovanna Cigoli. His grandfather worked as a silent film actor. He began his career on stage at the age of 18 under the guidance of Alfredo De Sanctis and later did work for the EIAR. Cigoli appeared in more than 40 films and 20 television shows between 1935 and 1980, mostly in supporting roles. One of his major appearances was in the 1943 film ''The Children Are Watching Us'' as well as the 1950 film '' Sunday in August''. Between 1943 and 1945, he worked in Spain with several colleagues to star in two Spanish-Italian films. Cigoli found great success as a voice dubber, eventually doing voice work for over seven thousand films. Denise Grey (born Édouardine Verthuy; 17 September 1896 – 13 January 1996) was an Italian-born actress who became a naturalized French citizen. Biography Édouardine Grey was born in Châtillon in the Aosta Valley of north-west Italy, close to the French border. The town at the time primarily spoke the Valdôtain dialect. She was naturalized as a French citizen on 13 July 1922. She started working in the film industry in 1915 in the silent film ''En famille'', an adaptation of the novel by Hector Malot, before dedicating herself to theatre work.
