Arshad Shamim is a Singaporean footballer who plays as a midfielder for Singapore Premier League club, Albirex Niigata (S). Club career Home United (Now known as Lion City Sailors) Arshad burst onto the scene earlier in the 2018 season as he marked his league debut on 22 April against Geylang International, playing the full 90 minutes in a 4–1 victory. On 27 July 2019, he scored his first ever league goal against Brunei DPMM scoring the only goal in the match to claim the three points. On 29 November 2020, Arshad was name the 'Man of the Match' for putting on a brilliant display against Young Lions scoring two goals and one assist in a 4–0 win. Albirex Niigata Singapore FC, abbreviated as Albirex Niigata (S), is a Singaporean football club that plays in the Singapore Premier League. The club is a satellite team of Albirex Niigata of Japan. History Albirex Niigata Singapore, a satellite team of Japanese club Albirex Niigata, joined the S. League in 2004. The men's football tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held from 6 – 22 May 2022 in Vietnam. Ten Southeast Asian nations participated in the men's tournament. The group stage and semi-finals were played in Việt Trì and Nam Định, while Hanoi hosted the bronze and gold medal matches. Men's teams are restricted to under-23 players (born on or after 1 January 1999) with a maximum of three over-aged players allowed. The tournament was won by Vietnam, who won their second title as a unified nation, having previously won it in 2019, and their third title in total, by beating Thailand 1–0 in the final. Nam Định () is a city in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam. It is the capital of Nam Định Province. The city of Nam Định is 90 km south-east of Vietnam's capital, Hanoi. The 2020 AFC U-23 Championship qualification was an international men's under-23 football competition which decide the participating teams of the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Thailand who qualified automatically as hosts country. These matches also served as the first stage of the AFC qualifiers for the 2020 Summer Olympics men's football tournament in Japan.
