Arrinera Hussarya
The Arrinera Hussarya is a sports car project made by Polish automotive manufacturer Arrinera Automotive. It was touted by Arrinera as the first supercar designed and engineered in Poland. It was named after Poland's Hussar cavalry. In 2021, it was announced that according to the latest quarterly report(dated 11.08.21), due to funding problems, the project will not be further developed. Prototype The prototype of Arrinera premiered on 9 June 2011 to shareholders and investors. Some journalists gave the supercar the name "Venocara", although Arrinera Automotive has never officially used that name. In 2011 it announced its first proof-of-concept car, using a mid-engine, rear-drive layout. Their second prototype was presented in 2012, initially named the Venocara, later renamed as the Hussarya. Arrinera developed a race variant of the car to GT3 racing specifications, the Hussarya GT. It was first shown at the ''Autosport International'' automotive show in Birmingham, UK, in January 2016. Britcar
Britcar is an endurance sports car racing and touring car racing series in the United Kingdom. It was formed in 1997, as a result of a discussion in a Nürburgring bar between Willie Moore and James Tucker. Folklore has it that James Tucker and John Veness formed the organizing European Endurance & Racing Club (EERC) with a £10 note found on the ground. The foremost aim was the re-introduction of a 24-hour race in Britain. At the end of the 2015 season, James sold the Britcar rights to Hedley Cowell Events Ltd. In automotive engineering, a mid-engine layout describes the placement of an automobile engine in front of the rear-wheel axles, but behind the front axle.
