Arne Scheie
Arne Scheie (born 7 January 1944) is a Norwegian sports commentator, with association football, football and ski jumping as his specialties. He started working in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation in 1972, and started commenting the Four Hills Tournament in 1973. Over the years, he has been involved with eight Winter Olympics, attended over 30 Four Hills Tournaments and has commentated on well over 100 matches for the Norway national football team. Scheie has also commentated on cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing, biathlon, swimming (sport), swimming, and bandy for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Arne Scheie is a part of the cultural landscape for many Norwegians, who have grown up with his commentary. Among others, he is known for his spontaneous outbursts to his colleague Jon Herwig Carlsen such as when Tommy Ingebrigtsen won world championship gold in ski jumping in Thunder Bay in 1995: "Can I kiss you, Jon?" Skedsmo
Skedsmo was a municipality in Akershus county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Romerike. The administrative centre of the municipality was the town of Lillestrøm. About one third of the municipal population lived in Lillestrøm. Other important towns are Skedsmokorset, Skjetten and Strømmen. A smaller settlement adjoining Lillestrøm is Kjeller. Bandy
Bandy is a winter sport and ball sport played by two teams wearing ice skates on a large ice surface (either indoors or outdoors) while using sticks to direct a ball into the opposing team's goal. The international governing body for bandy is the Federation of International Bandy (FIB). The playing surface, called a bandy field or bandy rink, is a sheet of ice which measures 90–110 meters by 45–65 meters – about the size of a football pitch. Gullruten ("Golden Screen") is an annual award for the Norwegian TV industry, founded in 1998 by ''Norske Film- og TV-produsenters forening''. Tommy Ingebrigtsen
Tommy Ingebrigtsen (born 8 August 1977) is a Norwegian former ski jumper who competed from 1993 to 2007, representing Byåsen IL in Trondheim. He won the large hill competition at the 1995 Nordic World Ski Championships in Thunder Bay, at the age of seventeen. Ingebrigtsen also competed in two Winter Olympics, earning a bronze in the team large hill event at Turin in 2006. He twice held the world distance record, both set in Planica, with a jump of 219.5 metres on 20 March 1999 and 231 m on 20 March 2005. Jon Herwig Carlsen (15 April 1937 – 10 April 2022) was a Norwegian sports commentator. Career Born on 15 April 1937, Carlsen grew up in Oslo, and was a teacher by education. He worked for NRK from 1967 to 2011, first in the traffic section, and later as a sports commentator. His specialities were cross country skiing and biathlon. Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake).
