Arne Kavli
Arne Kavli (27 May 1878 – 23 September 1970) was a Norwegian painter. Biography Kavli was born in Bergen, Norway. He was the son of actor Kristoffer Kavli (1845–1888) and Agnes Texnes (1851–1937). He was the brother of actress Aagot Nissen. He was married three times; in 1903 with Tulla Larsen (1869–1942); in 1911 with Hildur Mønniche (b. 1883) and in 1925 with Thony Drude Isachsen (b. 1897). From his first marriage, he was the brother-in-law of businessman and sailer Alfred Waldemar Garmann Larsen. Kavli debuted at the Autumn Exhibition (''Høstutstillingen'') in Oslo during 1896. He studied at art academies in Antwerp (1897) Paris (1902–03) and Bruges (1903). He also trained in Copenhagen under Peder Severin Krøyer and Laurits Tuxen (1898). Aagot Nissen
Aagot Nissen (née Kavli; May 2, 1882 – December 16, 1978) was a Norwegian actress. Biography She was born in Bergen, Norway. She was the daughter of Kristoffer Kavli (1845–1888) and Agnes Texnes (1851–1937). She was the sister of painter Arne Kavli (1878–1970) and was married to pianist Karl Nissen (1879–1920). She made her stage debut in 1899 at Oslo's National Theatre. She worked continuously for the National Theatre until she retired in 1950. She was the only actor that worked continuously for more than fifty seasons at the National Theatre from its start in 1899. According to historian Nils Johan Ringdal, Nissen was the most employed actress at the National Theatre from the theatre's establishment, with a total of more than 200 assigned tasks. Vestre Gravlund is a cemetery in the Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is located next to the Borgen metro station. At , it is the largest cemetery in Norway. It was inaugurated in September 1902 and also contains a crematorium (''Vestre krematorium'') and chapel (''Gravkapellet''). The grave chapel was constructed in granite and clay stone and was designed by architect Alfred Christian Dahl (1857–1940). It was built in 1900 and consecrated in 1902. The Gothenburg Tercentennial Jubilee Exposition (in Swedish ''Jubileumsutställningen i Göteborg'') was a world's fair held in Gothenburg, Sweden during 1923 marking 300th anniversary of the founding of the city. The fair opened 8 May and ran until 30 September. Exhibits and buildings One site was at Liseberg, an existing gardened area.
