Armon Bassett
Armon Bassett (born December 28, 1986) is a former American professional basketball player. Bassett played collegiately at Indiana University prior to transferring to Ohio University, where he led the team to the NCAA tournament. He was drafted in the 2010 NBA Development League Draft by the Maine Red Claws but cut prior to the season. He played one season professionally with Ironi Ramat Gan of Israel. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. 2010 MAC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2010 Mid-American Conference men's basketball tournament is the post-season basketball tournament for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) 2009–2010 season. Ninth-seeded Ohio won the tournament received the MAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship tournament. There they defeated Georgetown 97–83 before losing to Tennessee in the second round. Armon Bassett of Ohio was named the tournament MVP. The Maine Celtics (formerly the Maine Red Claws) are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Portland, Maine, and are affiliated with the Boston Celtics.
