Armenia National Football Team Results
The Armenia national football team represents Armenia in association football and is controlled by the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), the governing body of the sport in the country. It competes as a member of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), which encompasses the countries of Europe. Armenia joined the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) in 1992, and played its first official match against Moldova on 14 October 1992. The Armenia national football team ( hy, Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ազգային հավաքական, ''Hayastani futboli azgayin havak'akan'') represents Armenia in association football and is controlled by the Football Federation of Armenia, the governing body for football in Armenia. After gaining independence from the Soviet Union, the team played its first international match on 12 October 1992. The national team has participated in the qualification of every major tournament from the UEFA Euro 1996 onwards, though they are yet to qualify for the final stages of either a UEFA European Football Championship or a FIFA World Cup. The team's main achievements were coming in third place in the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying stage, and being promoted to the 2022–23 UEFA Nations League B. Aleksandr Karapetyan ( hy, Ալեքսանդր Կարապետյան; born 23 December 1987) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Karapetyan began his playing career in the German fourth-tier Regionalliga with Wehen Wiesbaden II, FC Oberneuland, SV 07 Elversberg and FC 08 Homburg. In 2013, he moved to F91 Dudelange of the Luxembourg National Division, and then on to CS Grevenmacher before returning to F91. Wbeymar Angulo Mosquera ( hy, Վբեյմար Անգուլո Մոսկերա; born 6 March 1992), commonly known as Wbeymar, is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Alashkert, on loan from Ararat-Armenia. Sargis Adamyan ( hy, Սարգիս Ադամյան; born 23 May 1993) is an Armenian footballer who plays for Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln and the Armenia national team. Varazdat Haroyan ( hy, Վարազդատ Հարոյան, born on 24 August 1992) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta and the Armenia national team.
