Armando Gallo
Armando Gallo (born January 24, 1944) is an Italian journalist, photographer and book publisher. Gallo has been a photo journalist since 1967, when he interviewed The Beatles for the Italian magazine "Ciao Big". Inspired by this experience, he left his career as an architecture designer to become the London correspondent for the Italian music weekly "CIAO 2001", covering the events in the English pop/rock scene. In the early 1970s Gallo met Genesis before their first Italian tour and became a good friend of the band. His most high-profile work is a book about the band entitled ''Genesis: The Evolution of a Rock Band''. Originally published in 1978, it chronicles the band's early days – a period of time never covered by any other biographical source up to that point, including the band members' full names. Mira, Veneto
Mira is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the southern Veneto, northern Italy. It is part of the Metropolitan City of Venice and the 11th most populous comune of Veneto. It is situated on the Riviera del Brenta, midway between Padua and Venice and it is crossed by SR11 Regional road. The main attractions are the Villa Foscari, designed by Andrea Palladio, and the Villa Widmann-Foscari. The southeastern part of Mira is characterized by "barene", typical lagoon saltmarshes which are periodically submerged by the tide crossed by tidal channels. ''Oggi'' (Italian: ''Today'') is an Italian weekly news magazine published in Milan, Italy. Founded in 1939 it is one of the oldest magazines in the country. History and profile ''Oggi'' was established in Milan in June 1939. The magazine was modelled on the American magazine ''Life''. The early editors were Mario Pannunzio and Arigo Benedetti. It was closed down in 1942 due to pressure from Fascists. The magazine was restarted in July 1945. From its restart in 1945 to 1956 the magazine was edited by Edilio Rusconi. Pino Belleri and Vittorio Buttafava are among the former editors-in-chief of the weekly. ''Oggi'' is owned by the RCS media group and is published weekly by RCS Periodici, a subsidiary of the group. The magazine is edited by Umberto Brindani. At the beginning of the 1950s ''Oggi'' had a monarchist political stance.
