Armando Gabino
Armando Leisdeker Gabino (born August 31, 1983) is a former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles. He is the current pitching coach for the Arizona League Cubs. Career Cleveland Indians Gabino was originally signed by the Cleveland Indians on April 19, 2001. He started his career as a third baseman, but the Indians converted him into a pitcher in 2004. Minnesota Twins After the 2004 season, the Minnesota Twins drafted him in the 2004 Rule 5 Draft. Gabino got off to a dreadful start with the Twins, posting an 8.10 ERA with the rookie league Elizabethton Twins. Next year, however, he improved and move up to single-A. The New Britain Rock Cats were a minor league baseball team that competed in the Eastern League. They were the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox for 12 years, the Minnesota Twins for 20 years and the Colorado Rockies for one. The Eugene Emeralds (nicknamed the Ems) are a Minor League Baseball team in the northwest United States, based in Eugene, Oregon. Disabled List
In Major League Baseball (MLB), the injured list (IL) is a method for teams to remove their injured players from the roster in order to summon healthy players. Before the 2019 season, it was known as the disabled list (DL). General guidelines Players are placed on the 10-day/15-day injured list or the 60-day injured list, usually depending on the severity and/or recovery time of the injury. By rule, position players must spend a minimum of 10 days on the injured list while pitchers must spend a minimum of 15 days on the IL. The 15-day period was the standard for all players prior to 2017 when the period was shortened to 10 days. The minimum period was restored to 15 days for pitchers for the 2020 season, though the full implementation of the rule was pushed back to May 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
