Armando Costa
Armando Carlos Silva e Costa (born 3 June 1983) is an Angolan professional basketball guard (basketball), guard. Costa plays for the Angolan side of Primeiro de Agosto Basketball, Primeiro de Agosto in the Angolan league BIC Basket and in the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup, Africa Champions Cup. With the Angola national basketball team, he represented Angola in the 2006 FIBA World Championship, FIBA Africa Championship 2007, 2007 African Championship, and Basketball at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Summer Olympics. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. The 2006 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship (21st edition), was an international basketball tournament held in Lagos, Nigeria, from November 18 to 26, 2006. 2006 FIBA World Championship
The 2006 FIBA World Championship was the 15th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams. The tournament was hosted by Japan and held from 19 August to 3 September 2006. It was co-organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Japan Basketball Association (JABBA) and the 2006 Organising Committee. For the first time since 1986, the World Championship was contested by 24 nations, eight more than in 2002. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center.
