Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys Basketball
The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys and Golden Suns are the athletic teams that represent Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. They are a charter member of the Great American Conference of the NCAA Division II. Sports sponsored Arkansas Tech currently fields 10 sports at the NCAA Division II level. Wonder Boys sports Football John Tucker is ultimately responsible for the idiosyncratic nickname "Wonder Boys" for Arkansas Tech University. On November 15, 1919, Tucker, as a 17-year-old freshman, scored two touchdowns and kicked two extra points to lead the Second District Agricultural School Aggies to a 14–0 upset win over Jonesboro. Arkansas Tech University
Arkansas Tech University (ATU) is a public university in Russellville, Arkansas. The university offers programs at both baccalaureate and graduate levels in a range of fields. The Arkansas Tech University–Ozark Campus, a two-year satellite campus in the town of Ozark, primarily focuses on associate and certificate education. Catawba College
Catawba College is a private college in Salisbury, North Carolina. Founded in 1851 by the North Carolina Classis of the Reformed Church in Newton, the college adopted its name from its county of origin, Catawba County, before moving to its current home of Salisbury in 1925. Tanner Marsh (born May 29, 1990) is a professional American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. College career He played college football for the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys for one season after transferring from West Texas A&M, and he was named honorable mention All-Great American Conference. Joe Foley
Joe Michael Foley (born August 12, 1955) is an American women's basketball coach. He has coached the Little Rock Trojans women's basketball team since 2003. He coached from 1987 to 2003 at Arkansas Tech. Career Since Foley was brought on as head coach, Little Rock has won the West Division in the Sun Belt in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2013. They won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in 2011, 2012, and 2015. They have made the WNIT in 2008, 2009, and 2013. David Bevis
David Bevis (born May 9, 1973) is an American former basketball player. He played college basketball for Arkansas Tech University before going on to play professionally in Europe. Playing career High school Bevis attended Rogers High School in Rogers, Arkansas and played with the schools basketball team. In 2015 he was inducted into its athletic hall of fame. College career Bevis played college basketball for Arkansas Tech University from 1992 to 1995 where he scored 1,831 career points, including 799 points as a senior. In 1995, he led ATU to the NAIA tournament semifinals for the first time in 40 years after scoring 26 points in a 87–67 victory against Montana State-Northern. Kenny Saylors
Kenneth Saylors is an American former basketball player. He played at Bruno–Pyatt High School in Everton, Arkansas, where he had his No. 33 jersey retired. Saylors played college basketball for the Arkansas Polytechnic College Wonder Boys and is the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,470 career points. He also holds records for single-season points scored with 831 and career free throws made with 578. Saylors is the only Wonder Boys player to be named an All-Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference (AIC) selection four times. Saylors was selected as the 17th overall pick in the 1963 NBA draft by the St. Louis Hawks but never played in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
