The Arkansas Stars were a professional Indoor football team based out of Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States. They would play their home games at Randal Tyson Track Center on the University of Arkansas campus. The team was a 2006 expansion member of the National Indoor Football League. Notable players include receiver Darrian Chestnut and defensive tackle Chris Charles (who weighs 467 pounds). Also, their clutch kicker Stephen Arnold. Arnold joined the team after three games and made an immediate impact by nailing the game winning extra point in overtime of his first game to give the Stars their first franchise win. Fayetteville, Arkansas
Fayetteville () is the second-largest city in Arkansas, the county seat of Washington County, and the biggest city in Northwest Arkansas. Randal Tyson Track Center
The Randal Tyson Track Center is a 5,500-seat indoor track in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Built in 2000, it is home to the University of Arkansas Razorbacks track and field teams. It was also home for one year to the semi-pro Arkansas Stars. The facility is located behind the first base stands of Baum Stadium, home of the Razorback baseball team. The baseball and indoor track facilities are one-half mile south of the main University of Arkansas campus, across Razorback Road (Arkansas Highway 112). National Indoor Football League
The National Indoor Football League (NIFL) was a professional indoor football league in the United States. For their first six years, the league had teams in markets not covered by either the Arena Football League or its developmental league, AF2, however, that changed briefly with their expansion into AFL markets such as Atlanta, Denver, and Los Angeles, and AF2 markets such as Fort Myers and Houston. United Indoor Football
United Indoor Football (UIF) was an indoor football league in the United States that operated from 2005 to 2008. Ten owners from the National Indoor Football League, including one expansion (the Dayton Warbirds, which never played a game in UIF) and two from arenafootball2 (af2) took their franchises and formed their own league. The league was based in Omaha, Nebraska. On July 22, 2008, it was announced that the UIF would be merging with the Intense Football League 2009 season. The merged league is known as the newest incarnation of the Indoor Football League. Chrys Chukwuma (born May 12, 1978) is a former professional American football running back who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys and played for the Las Vegas Outlaws (XFL), Las Vegas Outlaws of the defunct XFL (2001), XFL, Tennessee Titans, Edmonton Eskimos, Montgomery Maulers and the Arkansas Stars of the National Indoor Football League.
