Arkansas Highway 76 (AR 76, Ark. 76 and Hwy. 76) is the designation for a state Highway in the U.S. state of Arkansas. AR 76 is located in southwest Arkansas, and is split into two sections. The first section begins at U.S. Route 371 (US 371), and ends at US 278. The second section begins at AR 57 and AR 387 south of Chidester, and ends at AR 24 near Bragg City, or about northwest of Camden. Both sections are very rural. Route description Section 1 The western terminus for AR 76 is at US 371 just south of Rosston. From there, the route heads east towards US 278 where its eastern terminus is located. The entire route is about long and does not intersect any communities or other highways. Geography Rosston is located at (33.588495, -93.286457). Nevada County, Arkansas
Nevada County is a county located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 8,997, less than half of its peak in 1920. The county seat is Prescott. Nevada County is Arkansas's 63rd county, formed during the Reconstruction era on March 20, 1871, from portions of Hempstead, Ouachita and Columbia counties. Ouachita County ( ) is a county located in the south central part of the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 26,120. The county seat is Camden. Highway 57 (AR 57, Ark. 57, and Hwy. 57) is a north–south state highway in Southwest Arkansas. The route of begins at US Highway 82 (US 82) at Marysville and runs north to Highway 24 in Chidester. The route is maintained by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD). Route description The route begins at US 82 at Marysville in western Union County near the Columbia County line. A minor route in the rural Arkansas Timberlands, almost all of the route saw an average daily traffic count of under 1000 vehicles per day in 2014. Highway 57 runs north from US 82 to Highway 160 before turning west and entering Columbia County. Camden, Arkansas
Camden is a city in and the county seat of Ouachita County in the south-central part of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The city is located about 100 miles south of Little Rock. Situated on bluffs overlooking the Ouachita River, the city developed because of the river. The recorded history began in 1782 when a Spanish military post was established on the site of an old French trading post called ''Écore à Fabri.'' When Ouachita County was formed in 1842, American settlers changed the name to Camden. The city became an important port during the steamboat era when Camden became known as the “Queen City” of the Ouachita. In 1864, Camden became the unintended focus of the Red River Campaign, a major Civil War effort resulting in several significant battles. White Oak Lake State Park
White Oak Lake State Park is a state park in the southwest of the U.S. state of Arkansas, a few miles from Bluff City. The reservoir sits surrounded by tall pine trees, giving it a rich, wooded beauty. The state park offers camping facilities, hiking and mountain biking trails, boat and bicycle rentals, as well as playground facilities. Because White Oak Lake was created in a woodland area, the lake features many submerged dead trees. These serve as excellent cover for bass, crappie, and bream, all of which are reasonably abundant in the lake. Catfish also thrive at the lake. The park features hiking trails of easy to moderate difficulty, of which the Beech Ridge and Silver Maples trails give a good understanding of the "West Gulf Coastal Plain forest" setting. Deer and heron sightings are common at the park, while some bald eagles winter there.
