Arjun (character)
Arjun is a young fictional detective character of Bengali literature. He lives at Jalpaiguri in West Bengal The character was created by Samaresh Majumdar in 1983. Arjun's mentor is retired official cop, Mr. ''Amal Shome''. Although Arjun himself solves the cases but he works most of the time as an assistant of Shome. Samaresh Majumdar
Samares Mazumdar ( bn, সমরেশ মজুমদার, born 10 March 1944) is an Indian Bengali writer from West Bengal, India. He is best known for his Animesh series of novels, the second of which (''Kalbela'') won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1984. He is also known for creating the detective character Arjun, who is the central character of the 2013 film ''Arjun – Kalimpong E Sitaharan''. The Bengali film ''Buno Haansh'', which released on 15 August 2014, is also based on his novel of the same name, which was published in Pujabarshiki Anondolok. Early life and education Mazumdar spent his childhood years in the tea gardens of Dooars, Gairkata in Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal, India. Jalpaiguri
Jalpaiguri is a city in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the headquarters of the Jalpaiguri district as well as of the Jalpaiguri division of West Bengal, covering the jurisdiction of the five districts of North Bengal. The city is located on the banks of the Teesta River which is the second largest river in West Bengal after the Ganges, on the foothills of the Himalayas. Kalimpong (Hindi: कलिम्पोंग) is a town and the headquarters of an eponymous district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located at an average elevation of . Kaushik Sen
Koushik Sen (born 19 September 1968) is an Indian actor of film, television and theatre based in Kolkata. He is the director of the well-acclaimed theatre group Swapnasandhani.
