Richard Carle
Richard Carle (born Charles Nicholas Carleton, July 7, 1871 – June 28, 1941) was an American stage and film actor as well as a playwright and stage director. He appeared in more than 130 films between 1915 and 1941. Carle was born in Somerville, Massachusetts. He was on the stage for many years, appearing in important roles in London, New York and Chicago including as J. Offenbach Gaggs in ''The Casino Girl'' (1900)'The Polite Lunatic at Close Quarters' - ''The Sketch'' 12 September 1900, pg. 327 and Algy Cuffs in ''The Belle of Bohemia'' in London in 1901 before making his screen debut. In 1941 he died in North Hollywood, California from a heart attack. Paul Emory Newlan (June 29, 1903 – November 23, 1973) was an American film and TV character actor from Plattsmouth, Nebraska. He was best known for his role as Captain Grey on the NBC police series ''M Squad'' and for his roles in films including ''The Americanization of Emily'' and ''The Slender Thread''. Career Early in his career, Newlan worked in Vaudeville, sometimes doing as many as 10 shows a day. Newlan appeared in dozens of films and TV shows between 1935 and 1971. Frank Lorimer Mayo (June 28, 1889 – July 9, 1963) was an American actor. He appeared in 310 films between 1911 and 1949. Biography He was born in New York City, the son of actor Frank M. Mayo, and he died in Laguna Beach, California, from a heart attack. He was married to actress Dagmar Godowsky from 1921 to 1926. The marriage was annulled in August 1926 on the ground that Mayo had another wife. Mayo was buried at the Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills Cemetery in Los Angeles.
