Alexander Aris
Alexander Myint San Aung Aris ( my, မြင့်ဆန်းအောင်, ; born 12 April 1973) is the elder son of Aung San Suu Kyi and Michael Aris. He is also a grandson of Aung San, who is credited with achieving the independence of Myanmar (although he was assassinated in 1947, six months before the independence). He has been representing his mother, who has been detained by the military junta for years; he accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for her, and on many other awards and occasions, he has represented her. Early life Aris was born on 12 April 1973 at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in Hammersmith, London to Aung San Suu Kyi and Michael Aris. His younger brother Kim Aris was born in 1977. Ben Aris
Benjamin Patrick Aris (16 March 1937 – 4 September 2003) was an English actor who was best known for his parts in ''Hi-de-Hi!'' and ''To the Manor Born'', and was also very active on stage. He was often cast as an eccentric, upper-class or upper-middle class man. Early career Aris was born in London, and following the Second World War, he trained at the Arts Educational School. At the age of 16, he joined a national tour of the show '' Zip Goes a Million''. He then did his national service in the Army and after that appeared in many musicals and films including ''The Plague of the Zombies'', ''The Charge of the Light Brigade'' and '' if....''. On stage, Aris was in the 1960 production of the revue "One Over The Eight" at the Duke of York's Theatre in London. Ernest Aris
Alfred Ernest Walter George Aris, FZS, SGA, also known by the pen names Robin A Hood and Dan Crow, (1882–1963), was a writer and illustrator of children's books. He worked on more than 170 publications. Ernest Aris also designed cigarette cards, postcards, toys and games. Early life Aris was born in Islington, London on 22 April 1882. He moved to Bradford, where he attended the Technical College and School of Art, and earned his diploma in 1900, under the tutorship of Charles Stephenson. Later at the Royal College of Art in London, he studied under Moira & Chambers. According to '' Who's Who'' (UK), Aris was an Art Master at the International Correspondence School, whilst ''Who Was Who in Art'' and ''The World Biographical Index of Artists'' refer to this as the Indian Civil Service School (ICSS). Helmut Aris
Helmut Aris (8 May 1908 – 22 November 1987) became in 1962 the President of the Association of Jewish Communities in the German Democratic Republic, retaining the position till his death in 1987. Life Helmut Aris was the son of Julius Aris, a metal worker originally from East Prussia, and his wife Recha Aris, née Stein. He was born in the Striesen district of Dresden in Saxony during the first decade of the twentieth century, a period of rapid industrialisation and social tensions. He attended the academically focused King George Gymnasium (a school in Dresden named after the local king) and then, in 1925, embarked on an apprenticeship on the commercial side of the textile business with a firm called "Hirsch & Co.", for whom he worked till 1929. This is a list of cricketers who have played first-class, List A or Twenty20 cricket for the Otago cricket team. Otago played its first representative match in January 1864 against Southland, before playing the first match in New Zealand which is considered to be first-class later in the same month, a fixture against Canterbury. Michael Vaillancourt Aris (27 March 1946 – 27 March 1999) was an English historian who wrote and lectured on Bhutanese, Tibetan and Himalayan culture and history.
