Tenaniʻa Ariʻifaʻaite a Hiro (10 January 1820 – 6 August 1873) was a Prince consort of Tahiti. He was son of Ariʻipeu a Hiro and Teihotu alias Ta'avea daughter of Tamatoa IV of Raiatea. He became second consort of his first cousin, Pōmare IV, Queen of Tahiti, who was likewise a maternal granddaughter of Tamatoa IV. Victoria Pōmare
Victoria Pōmare-vahine (c. 1844 – June 1845) was a Tahitian princess and daughter of Queen Pōmare IV of Tahiti and her husband Ariʻifaʻaite a Hiro. A member of Pōmare Dynasty, she was born during the outbreak of the Franco-Tahitian War (1844–1847) when the Tahitian royal family were exiled to the neighboring island kingdom of Raiatea. She was named after the British Queen Victoria in hopes of a British intercession in the conflict. Biography She was born in circa 1844 on the island of Raiatea while her mother was exiled there. She had three older brothers: Ariʻiaue, Teretane, Tamatoa and an older sister named Teriʻimaevarua. Teriimaevarua II
Teri'i-maeva-rua II (born Princess Maevarua Pōmare; 23 May, 1841 – 12 February, 1873) was the Queen of Bora Bora from 1860 until her death in 1873. Teri'i-maeva-rua II belonged to the Pōmare dynasty, the royal family of Tahiti, as the daughter of Queen Pōmare IV of Tahiti. Teri'i-maeva-rua was adopted by the childless king of Bora Bora. She received the title of Crown Princess, on the condition she renounce her rights to the Crown of Tahiti. In 1850, Teri'i-maeva-rua II left Tahiti to join her future kingdom. She succeeded to the throne, following her adoptive father’s death. Teri'i-maeva-rua II died on 12 February,1873. She was succeeded by Teriimaevarua III, who reigned from 1873 to 19 March, 1888. Teriitapunui Pōmare
Punuariʻi Teriʻitapunui Pōmare, commonly called Teriʻitapunui (born March 20, 1846 – died in September 17, 1888) was a member of the Pōmare family, a royal dynasty in Tahiti. His first two names translate into Tahitian as "Small-trumpet-above-Prince-of-many-sacrifices." Pōmare V
Pōmare V (3 November 1839 – 12 June 1891) was the last monarch of Tahiti, reigning from 1877 until his forced abdication in 1880. He was the son of Queen Pōmare IV. Biography He was born as Teri'i Tari'a Te-rā-tane and became Heir Apparent and Crown Prince (''Ari'i-aue'') upon the death of his elder brother on 13 May 1855. He became king of Tahiti on the death of his mother on 17 September 1877. His coronation was on 24 September 1877 at Pape'ete. He married twice, first on 11 November 1857 to Te-mā-ri'i-Ma'i-hara Te-uhe-a-Te-uru-ra'i, princess of Huahine. He divorced her on 5 August 1861. Tamatoa V, born Tamatoa-a-tu Pōmare, (23 September 1842, Moorea – 30 September 1881, Papeete), King of Raiatea and Taha'a, was a son of Queen Pōmare IV of Tahiti. Teriitua Tuavira Pōmare
Prince Teriʻitua Tuavira Joinville Pōmare (17 December 1847 – 9 April 1875), also known as Prince Joinville, was a member of the royal family of Tahiti, the Pōmare dynasty, who lived in the time of the French protectorate of the Kingdom of Tahiti (1842–1880). Biography Tuavira Joinville was the youngest son of Pōmare IV, queen from 1827 to 1877, and of Ari'ifaite a Hiro, Prince consort, first cousin of the queen, and a chief from Huahine. At his birth, he was adopted by the childless Teri'itua, the female chief of the Hitiaa O Te Ra, Hitia'a district, who had no children. Pōmare IV
Pōmare IV (28 February 1813 – 17 September 1877), more properly ʻAimata Pōmare IV Vahine-o-Punuateraʻitua (otherwise known as ʻAimata – "eye-eater", after an old custom of the ruler to eat the eye of the defeated foe), was the Queen of Tahiti between 1827 and 1877. She was the fourth monarch of the Kingdom of Tahiti. Family Pōmare was the daughter of Pōmare II and Teriʻitoʻoterai Tere-moe-moe, his second wife. Her grandfather was Pōmare I. Johanna Marau Taʻaroa a Tepau Salmon (24 April 1860 – 2 February 1935) was the consort of King Pōmare V who ruled from 1877 to 1880 and was the last queen consort of the Kingdom of Tahiti. Her name means "Much-unique-cleansing-the-splash" in the Tahitian language.
