Ariel Vromen ( he, אריאל ורומן; born February 14, 1973) is an Israeli film director and screenwriter best known for directing the 2012 American film '' The Iceman''. It is an adaptation of the non-fiction book ''The Angel: The Egyptian Spy Who Saved Israel'' written by Uri Bar-Joseph. It is a fictional account of an Ashraf Marwan, a high-ranking Egyptian official who became a double agent for both countries and helped achieve peace between the two. Plot During the Six-Day War in 1967, Israel conquers and occupies large areas of land including the Sinai Peninsula which then (and now) belonged to Egypt. Richard Leonard Kuklinski (; April 11, 1935 – March 5, 2006), also known as The Iceman, was an American criminal and convicted murderer. Kuklinski was engaged in criminal activities for most of his adult life; he ran a burglary ring and distributed pirated pornography. He committed at least five murders between 1980 and 1984. Prosecutors described him as someone who killed for profit. Kuklinski lived with his wife and children in the New Jersey suburb of Dumont. They knew him as a loving father and husband, although one who also had a violent temper. They stated that they were unaware of his crimes. The film was released on DVD in the US on December 26, 2006. Plot Danika Merrick (Marisa Tomei) suffers from increasingly disturbing, paranoid hallucinations. Most of her hallucinations involve threats to her family and media-fuelled fears such as child kidnappings, car accidents, her children lying and terrorism. Danika confides to her husband, Randy (Craig Bierko), and Evelyn (Regina Hall), her psychiatrist. The movie begins with Danika apologizing for being late, being scolded by her bank manager about incorrect calculations.
