Argophyllum Lejourdanii
''Argophyllum lejourdanii'' is a plant in the Argophyllaceae family Endemism, endemic to a part of north eastern Queensland, Australia. It was described and named in 1863. Taxonomy This species was first described (as ''A. lejourdani'') in 1863 by the by the Germany, German-born Australian botanist Ferdinand von Mueller who published it in his work ''Fragmenta Phytographiae Australiae''. In a 1900 review published in ''The Queensland Flora'', Frederick Manson Bailey described a new subspecies ''L. l.'' var. ''cryptophleba'' and respelled the Botanical name#Binary name, species epithet with an extra "i", making it ''lejourdanii'', presumably as a correction of the Latin grammar. More than a hundred years later, Anthony Bean and Paul Irwin Forster, Paul Forster conducted a wide-scale review of the genus in which they redefined ''A. lejourdanii'' and described seven new species—including promoting ''A. l.'' var. Anthony Bean
Anthony Russell Bean (born 1957) is an Australian botanist who works at the Queensland Herbarium and Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha. Since 1982, he has led the Eucalyptus Study Group of the Society for Growing Australian Plants. Career From at least 1989, he was working at CSIRO, Division of Plant Industry, in Nambour, Queensland, and much of that work was on Eucalypts. In later years he has contributed to the history of Australian botany, with work on Ludwig Leichhardt, Frederick Kenny, and Cyril Tenison White, Names published IPNI lists 343 names published by Bean. The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is an online database of all published names of Australian vascular plants. It covers all names, whether current names, synonyms or invalid names. It includes bibliographic and typification details, information from the Australian Plant Census including distribution by state, links to other resources such as specimen collection maps and plant photographs, and the facility for notes and comments on other aspects. History Originally the brainchild of Nancy Tyson Burbidge, it began as a four-volume printed work consisting of 3,055 pages, and containing over 60,000 plant names. A least-concern species is a species that has been categorized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as evaluated as not being a focus of species conservation because the specific species is still plentiful in the wild. They do not qualify as threatened, near threatened, or (before 2001) conservation dependent. Rainforests are characterized by a closed and continuous tree canopy, moisture-dependent vegetation, the presence of epiphytes and lianas and the absence of wildfire. Mount Elliot is a locality in the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It contains the mountain of the same name. In the , Mount Elliot had a population of 8 people. Murray Falls
The Murray Falls, a cascade waterfall on the Murray River, is located in the UNESCO World Heritagelisted Wet Tropics in Murray Upper, Cassowary Coast Region in the Far North region of Queensland, Australia.
