Mingo y Aníbal, dos pelotazos en contra is a 1984 Argentine film. Summary Mingo and Aníbal are two friends who reside in the same neighborhood and frequently visit the Science and Sweat Club. On a particular day, they discover that the renowned tennis champion, María Miranda, has recently arrived in Buenos Aires. Overwhelmed by his infatuation for her, Aníbal implores Mingo to join him in a visit to the Sheraton hotel, where María is staying. Aníbal concocts an audacious plan to pose as his deceased uncle—an esteemed international police officer—in order to meet her. Little do they know that their scheme will set off a chain of misadventures, all the while a gang of criminals plots to pilfer the tennis champion's prized trophy. ''Mad Toy'' (original title: ''El juguete rabioso'': "The rabid toy") is the debut novel by Argentinean author Roberto Arlt. Published in 1926 by Editorial Latina, it is markedly autobiographical in nature. The original manuscripts were written in the 1920s and were drafted by Arlt in the mountains of Córdoba, in a time when his wife, Carmen, who suffered complications from tuberculosis, needed to move to the mountains to recover from her illness. Arlt invested a considerable amount of money in businesses that did not grow, and had to accompany his wife, so he began work on "Mad Toy'. Upon his return to Buenos Aires, Arlt tried to publish his novel in the “Los Nuevos” (The New”) collection of the publisher Claridad, but the editor of the collection, Elías Castelnuovo, did not like the book. Armando Bó (3 May 19148 October 1981) was an Argentine film actor, director, producer, screenwriter and score composer of the classic era. He is mostly known for his drama and sexploitation films of the 1960s and 1970s starring his favorite actress and romantic partner, sex symbol Isabel Sarli. His works include ''Thunder Among the Leaves'', which features the first nude scene in an Argentine film. Bó's son is the actor Víctor Bó and his grandson is the screenwriter Armando Bó. Fernando Ezequiel "Pino" Solanas (16 February 1936 – 6 November 2020) was an Argentine film director, screenwriter, and politician. His films include; '' La hora de los hornos (The Hour of the Furnaces)'' (1968), '' Tangos: el exilio de Gardel'' (1985), '' Sur'' (1988), '' El viaje'' (1992), ''La nube'' (1998) and ''Memoria del saqueo'' (2004), among many others.
