Arent Solem
Arent Bjørnsen Solem (22 October 1777 – 8 February 1857) was a Norwegian merchant and a prominent member of the Haugean Movement (''haugianere''). Background Arent Bjørnsen Solem was born in Klæbu, Søndre Trondhjems Amt, Norway. He was born to farmer Bjørn Olsen Solem (1742–1797) and his wife Magnhild Olsdatter ( 1742–??). Although little is known about Solem's early life, it is known that he traveled to Trondheim where he worked as a carpenter. He later made success as a merchant and property investor in Trondheim, before he established a flax weavery in Moholt. Career He became a successful entrepreneur and trusted follower of Hans Nielsen Hauge, leader of the Haugean Movement. He married Randi Nideng (née Lauvaas) in the beginning of the 19th century, with whom he maintained a hospitable home. Klæbu
Klæbu is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was incorporated into the neighboring Trondheim Municipality. It was located in the southern part of the Trondheim Region, about south of the city of Trondheim. The administrative center was the village of Klæbu. The other major village in Klæbu municipality was Tanem. Even though agriculture has traditionally been the main industry for Klæbu, the municipality most recently functioned more as a commuter town of Trondheim, where many of Klæbu's inhabitants work or attend school. At the time of its dissolution in 2020, the municipality is the 337th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Storo, Norway
Storo is a neighborhood in the boroughs of Sagene and Nordre Aker in Oslo, Norway. It is located east of Nydalen, south-west of Grefsen and north of Sandaker. In addition to block housing, it hosts the Storo Storsenter shopping center. There are also many car dealerships in the area. The Ring 3 trunk road runs through Storo, and the area is served by Storo station on the Oslo T-bane and Oslo Tramway. The name The neighbourhood is named after the farm Storo. Andreas Aarflot
Andreas Aarflot (born 1 July 1928) is a Norwegian theologian and bishop emeritus in the Church of Norway. He was bishop of Oslo from 1977 to 1998. Early life Aarflot was born in Yiyang, China where his mother and father served the Norwegian Missionary Society in the Hunan province. Aarflot earned his cand.theol. from MF Norwegian School of Theology (1951) and dr.theol. from University of Oslo (1970). Furthermore, he has studied in Heidelberg, England and the United States, has an honorary doctor's degree from St. Olaf College (1987) and is an honorary member of ''Finska kyrkohistoriska sälllskapet'' (1978).
