Architecture Of A God
''Architecture of a God'' is Italian power metal band Labyrinth's eighth album, released on 21 April 2017 via Frontiers Records. It is their first album since 2010's '' Return to Heaven Denied Pt. II: "A Midnight Autumn's Dream"'', marking their longest non-album gap. Background In 2014, lead vocalist Roberto Tiranti left Labyrinth to embark on a solo career, and Mark Boals was chosen as his replacement. In 2016, however, the band announced they were working on a new album to be released via Frontiers Music Srl in 2017 and to be recorded with the reunion of founding members Olaf Thorsen and Andrea Cantarelli on guitars, with Tiranti on lead vocals, John Macaluso (ex-Ark, Yngwie Malmsteen, James LaBrie, Riot, Starbreaker, and TNT) on drums, Oleg Smirnoff (ex-Vision Divine, Eldritch, Death SS) on keyboards and Nik Mazzucconi on bass. Labyrinth (band)
Labyrinth is an Italian power metal band formed in 1991 in Massa, Italy. The band underwent a change in style and themes after the departure of Olaf Thorsen in 2002. History 1990s Labyrinth formed in 1991 with a lineup of Franco Rubulotta (Frank Andiver-drums), Luca Contini (Ken Taylor-keyboards), Andrea Bartoletti (bass guitar), Andrea Cantarelli (Anders Rain-lead guitar), Carlo Andrea Magnani (Olaf Thorsen-lead guitar), Fabio Tordiglione (Joe Terry-vocals). Riot V, formerly known as Riot, is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1975 by guitarist Mark Reale. Reaching peak in popularity in the early 1980s, the band has continued a long-running successful career. DGM ("Diego, Gianfranco and Maurizio", after the founding members) is an Italian progressive metal band. Over the course of the band's history, they have had numerous line-up changes, with none of the founding members in the band's current line up and eight previous members since 1994. Olaf Thörsen
Olaf Thörsen (born Carlo Andrea Magnani) is an Italian guitarist and founding member of progressive power metal bands Vision Divine and Labyrinth. Biography Despite being well-acquainted with music theory, Olaf Thörsen did not start playing the guitar until the age of 20. Knowing how to read and write music gave him the ability to only focus on guitar techniques. The first band he formed was Vision in February 1991, which later changed its name to Labyrinth. Eldritch is a power metal band formed in 1991 in Italy. History Their history began when Eugene Simone, Adriano Dal Canto, and Terence Holler formed a band with the intent of putting out some demos. Vision Divine is an Italian power/progressive metal band formed in 1998. History Originally a solo project from Olaf Thörsen (born Carlo Andrea Magnani).
