Arasvikfjord
Arasvikfjord or Arasvikfjorden ( en, Arasvik Fjord) is a fjord in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. The fjord is located between Aure Municipality (in Møre og Romsdal) and Heim Municipality (in Trøndelag). The fjord is part of the larger Vinjefjorden, near where the Valsøyfjorden branches off to the south. European route E39 runs along the south shore of the fjord, through the village of Valsøyfjord. The ferry from Hennset to Arasvika crosses the fjord. The Arasvikfjorden is known for its fishery of cod, coalfish, pollock, mackerel, common ling, tusk, and several types of flatfish. It was in Arasvikfjord that the famous killer whale Keiko, from the movie ''Free Willy'', spent his final days. Valsøyfjorden
Valsøyfjorden is a fjord in Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is a fjord arm off of the Arasvikfjord and it runs south past the island of Valsøya. The villages along the fjord include Engan, Hjellnes, and Valsøybotnen. The Valsøy Bridge is part of European route E39 and it was built in 1993 to cross over mouth of the fjord so travelers did not have to drive all the way around the fjord. Vågosen
Vågosen or Vågos is a village in the municipality of Aure in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Geography Vågosen lies on the south side of the island of Ertvågsøy along Arasvik Fjord at the mouth of the Vågos River (''Vågoselva''). There are road connections to Vågosen via County Road 682 from the north and County Road 362 from the east. Aure is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the region of Nordmøre. The administrative centre is the village of Aure. Other villages in Aure include Gullstein, Stemshaug, Todalen, Tjeldbergodden, Arasvika, and Tømmervåg. Aure has one of the largest wooden churches in Norway, Aure Church. Keiko (orca)
Keiko (earlier Siggi and Kago; 24 September 1976 – 12 December 2003) was a male orca captured in the Atlantic Ocean near Iceland in 1979. He portrayed Willy in the 1993 film ''Free Willy''. In 1996, Warner Bros. and the International Marine Mammal Project collaborated to return Keiko to the wild. After years of preparing Keiko for reintegration, Keiko was flown to Iceland in 1998 and in 2002, became the first captive orca to be fully released back into the ocean. On 12 December 2003, he died of pneumonia in a bay in Norway at the age of 27. Early life Keiko was captured near Reyðarfjörður, Iceland in 1979 at the approximate age of two and sold to the Icelandic Aquarium in Hafnarfjörður. At the time, he was named Siggi, with the name Kago given at a later date. In 1982, he was sold to Marineland in Ontario, Canada.
