Kedamangalam Sadanandan
Kedamangalam Sadanandan (1926 – 13 April 2008) was a Kadhaprasangam artist, actor, screenwriter and lyricist from Kerala. He performed Kadhaprasangam (story telling) in more than 15,000 stages for over 50,000 hours in a career spanning about 64 years. He wrote scripts for 12 films, lyrics for more than hundred films and acted in about 40 films. Biography Kedamangalam Sadanandan was born in Paravur, Kerala, in December 1926. He debuted on stage as a monodramatist in 1944. During his early years, he performed famous poems including Changampuzha's ''Vazhakkula'' and ''Ramanan''. ''Ramanan'' alone was performed in 3,476 stages. Another one was ''Unniarcha'', the Ezhava dame who humbled the rapacious Jonaka gang with mastery over sword fight. Sadanandan ruled the stage for 64 years as a Kadhaprasangam artiste and he presented over 40 stories for over 50,000 hours on 15,000 stages. Sathyan (actor)
Sathyan (born Cheruvilakathu Veetil Manuel Sathyanesan Nadar; 9 November 1912 – 15 June 1971) was an Indian actor known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Known for his own style and versatility in acting, Satyan was one of the pioneers of realistic acting in Indian film industry. He is respectfully called Sathyan Master. He was also a soldier in the British Indian Army and later a police officer with the Travancore State Police. Sathyan served as an officer in the British Indian Army during World War II. After the war he joined the Travancore state police as an inspector in late 1940s. During this time he got interested in acting and acted in amateur stage plays. He made his debut film in 1952 film Athmasakhi and rose to stardom with the critically acclaimed film Neelakuyil in 1954. Sadhasivan, popularly known as Pattom Sadan was an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema. He acted in more than 200 films. His debut movie was Chathurangam in 1959. He was a famous comedy artist during the 1960s and 1970s. He acted in many Tamil movies as well. He was a theatre artist turned movie actor. He hailed from Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram. He started his career with drama and later moved to Tamil movies. He was married and has two children. The family resides at Vadapalani, Chennai. He died at a private hospital at Vadapalani in 1992. Prem Nawas
Prem Nawas (born Abdul Wahab) was an Indian actor and producer in Malayalam cinema, and the younger brother of Malayalam cinema actor Prem Nazir. His parents were Shahul Hameed and Asmabeevi. He lost his mother at a very young age, and his father remarried. He moved to Madras, before his brother, in search of a film career. He debuted as the hero of ''Koodapirappu'' in 1956. He was the hero in the first colour film made in Malayalam, ''Kandam Becha Kottu''. He also played an important role in the blockbuster 1974 film ''Nellu'', directed by Ramu Kariyattu. When he found he could not succeed as well as his brother as an actor, he turned to producing films. He produced the award-winning blockbuster ''Agniputhri'' (1967), starring his brother and Sheela, the evergreen pair of Malayalam cinema. Kalaikkal Kumaran
Kalaikkal Kumaran (1919 - 8 August 1998) was a noted Malayalam film and very popular drama actor. He was well known for his comedy roles in dramas by Kalidasa Kalakendram. He acted in 65 films and more than 150 dramas. He appeared more than 15000 stages. His first drama was ''Kathirukanakili'' by Kerala theatre of Ponkunnam Varkey. Other famous dramas are ''Doctor, Kathirukanakili, Althara, Muthuchippi, Kadalpalam, Swantham Lekhakan, Yudhabhoomi'' and ''Samgamam'', more than 150 dramas. He received many Kerala state awards, including Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Fellowship for acting in 1989. Kumaran was a member of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. Kalaikkal Kumaran was supposed to create a record for appearing on more than 20,000 stages, but he lost his vision due to cataracts and left the field.
