Arang Kel
Arang Kel ( ur, ) is a village and tourist spot in the Neelam valley of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located on the hilltop above Kel at an altitude of . Accessibility The village is accessible by a trek from Kel. It can also be accessed by a kilometre-long chairlift administrated by Local Government and Rural Development Department and supervised by Pakistan Army. To reach Kel, people usually enter into the Neelam valley from Muzafarabad . After taking a ride from the chairlift you have to take an approximately 30 Minutes hike to the village. 2005 Kashmir Earthquake
The 2005 Kashmir earthquake occurred at on 8 October in Pakistani-administered Azad Kashmir. It was centred near the city of Muzaffarabad, and also affected nearby Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and some areas of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. It registered a moment magnitude of 7.6 and had a maximum Mercalli intensity of XI (''Extreme''). The earthquake was also felt in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, India, and the Xinjiang region. The severity of the damage caused by the earthquake is attributed to severe upthrust. Over 86,000 people died, a similar number were injured, and millions were displaced. Athmuqam or Athmakam ( ur, آٹھمقام) is a Tehsil about 73 kilometres from Muzaffarabad, in Azad Kashmir. It is the headquarters of Neelum District. Its population was 7,922 in 2017.
