Arana Taumata
Arana Taumata (born 15 April 1989) is a New Zealand rugby league footballer, primarily in the position. Background Taumata was born in Wellington, New Zealand to Māori parents. He has four brothers and three sisters. Playing career Originally from Wellington, Taumata of Māori descent was brought to Australia as a 15-year-old to join the Brisbane Broncos. He was sacked by the Brisbane Broncos for disciplinary breaches and also spent time at the Sydney Roosters before making his first grade debut with Canterbury-Bankstown in round 16 of the 2008 NRL season, against his former club the Sydney Roosters. In January 2009, Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy announced his plan to promote Taumata to a playmaking role with the Storm. In early February however, Taumata was dismissed by the Storm after a "physical altercation" off-field, his fourth dismissal in four years. The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Cronulla, in the Sutherland Shire, Southern Sydney, New South Wales. They compete in the National Rugby League (NRL), Australasia's premier rugby league competition. Wentworthville Magpies
The Wentworthville Magpies, colloquially known as ''Wenty'', are a rugby league team based in the suburb of Wentworthville in Sydney's Western Suburbs. Founded in 1963 (or 1937), the club has competed in various Sydney district competitions and, since 2003, the semi-professional Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield competitions in NSW, Australia. The club also fielded a team in the Canterbury Cup NSW as part of a joint-venture with the Parramatta Eels between 2008 and 2019 acting as Parramatta's feeder club. The NSW Cup, currently known as the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a rugby league competition for clubs in New South Wales. The competition has a history dating back to the NSWRFL's origins in 1908, starting off as a reserve grade competition, and is now the premier open age competition in the state. Newtown Jets
The Newtown Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Newtown, a suburb of Sydney's inner west. They currently compete in the NSW Cup competition, having left the top grade after the 1983 NSWRFL season. The Jets' home ground is Henson Park, and their team colours are blue (traditionally royal blue) and white. Phillip Ronald Gould (born 24 January 1958), also nicknamed "Gus", is an Australian rugby league broadcaster, journalist, administrator and formerly a player and coach. He works as the General Manager of Football for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL. Background Gould was born in Sydney, New South Wales in January 1958.
