Araklı Arena
Araklı Arena ( tr, Araklı Spor Salonu) is an indoor volleyball venue located in Araklı town of Trabzon Province, Turkey. Built-in 2006, the arena has a capacity of 500 spectators. In 2007, the venue hosted the 2007 Black Sea Games, 1st Black Sea Games. Volleyball at the 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival, Volleyball matches for boys were played at this arena during the 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival. Trabzon Province ( tr, ) is a province of Turkey on the Black Sea coast. Located in a strategically important region, Trabzon is one of the oldest trade port cities in Anatolia. 2007 Black Sea Games
The Black Sea Games was a multi-sport event intended to be held every four years, mainly for nations bordering the Black Sea. The first such event was held in Trabzon, Turkey July 2 to July 8, 2007. A total of 1,277 athletes (937 men and 340 women) from 11 countries participated, with 186 medals won in 13 different sports. 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival
The 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival was held in Trabzon, Turkey, between 23 and 29 July 2011. Sports There were nine sports at the 2011 Festival, two branches, table tennis and water polo, less than compared with the 2007 Youth Olympic Festival's programme. The Trabzon Museum ( tr, Trabzon Müzesi), also known as Kostaki Mansion (''Kostaki Konağı''), is a historic house museum with archeological and ethnographic exhibitions located in Trabzon, Turkey. History The mansion was built in the beginning of the 1900s as a private residence for Kostaki Teophylaktos, a notable banker of Greek origin. It is known that the architect was of Italian origin and many materials used in the building were brought from Italy. However, the name of the architect is unknown. As Teophylaktos went bankrupt in 1917, all his properties were confiscated, among them his mansion. The building was acquired by the Nemlioğlu family. During the timespan of Turkish War of Independence (1919–1923), the mansion was used as the headquarters for the military in the region. Chepni ( az, Çəpni; tr, Çepni; tk, Çepni) is one of the 24 Oghuz Turkic tribes.
