Aragorn (foaled in 2002) is an Irish millionaire Thoroughbred racehorse who won major Graded stakes races in 2005 and 2006. Career Aragorn's first race was on 12 July 2004 at Cork, where he came in second place. He captured his first win at the 2005 Oak Tree Derby. His next win came on 29 May 2006 at the Shoemaker Mile Stakes. His next race, on 23 July 2006, also resulted in a win at the 2006 Eddie Read Stakes. On 26 August 2006 he won the Del Mar Mile Handicap, then captured the final win of his career at the 2006 City of Hope Mile Stakes. Giant's Causeway (horse)
Giant's Causeway (14 February 1997 – 16 April 2018) was an American-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse who won five Group One races in Britain and Ireland as a three-year-old in 2000: the St James's Palace Stakes, Eclipse Stakes, Sussex Stakes, Juddmonte International Stakes and Irish Champion Stakes. He was named the 2000 Cartier Horse of the Year. The horse was sent to stud and proved to be an outstanding sire. Nicknamed the "Iron Horse" on account of his toughness and constitution, Giant's Causeway was hailed by his trainer Aidan O'Brien as a "true champion". A filly is a female horse that is too young to be called a mare. Blushing Groom (8 April 1974 – 6 May 1992) was a French champion Thoroughbred horse racing, racehorse and sire (horse), sire. Background He was bred by American businessman John McNamee Sullivan and was raced by Aga Khan IV, HH Aga Khan IV. A descendant of Nearco, Blushing Groom was sired by Red God and out of the mare Runaway Bride. He was trained by François Mathet in France. South Ocean (1967–1989) was a Canadian Thoroughbred Hall of Fame mare raced by Charles Taylor. She was bred by Charles's father E. P. Taylor, Canada's preeminent name in Thoroughbred racing and in world breeding history. Breeding South Ocean was bred at E. P. Taylor's Windfields Farm near Oshawa, Ontario. She was a daughter of New Providence who won the 1959 Canadian Triple Crown. Northern Dancer (May 27, 1961 – November 16, 1990) was a Thoroughbred who, in 1964, became the first Canadian-bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby. Gold Digger (May 28, 1962 - February 21, 1990) was an American Thoroughbred racemare who won back-to-back runnings of the Gallorette Handicap but is most famous for being the Dam of Mr. Prospector. Raise a Native (April 18, 1961 – July 28, 1988) was an undefeated Thoroughbred Horse racing, racehorse that was named 1963 champion two-year-old colt in the Turf and Sport Digest poll and was the highest rated juvenile in the Experimental Free Handicap. He sired 74 stakes winners, including Majestic Prince and Alydar. Rahy (February 18, 1985 – September 22, 2011) was a Thoroughbred racehorse who competed in England and the United States. Background Bred by Hill 'n' Dale Farms in Lexington, Rahy was a son of the very important sire Blushing Groom and out of the Eclipse Award winner and Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame mare Glorious Song. Rahy was purchased as a yearling for US$2 million by Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum and brought to race in England for the 1987 season. Racing career Out of his seven starts at ages two and three, Rahy won three races. In his most significant event, he ran second to Robert Sangster's colt Gallic League in the 1987 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket Racecourse. Terlingua (February 7, 1976 – April 29, 2008) was an American thoroughbred bred in Kentucky by Tom Gentry. She was a chestnut filly from the second crop of Triple Crown winner Secretariat. Terlingua was out of a Crimson Satan mare, Crimson Saint, who was a graded stakes winner as well as a very successful broodmare. Besides Terlingua, Crimson Saint produced 1990 Ireland Champion 3yr-old and European Champion 3yr-old Miler Royal Academy and the grade one stakes winner (full brother) Pancho Villa along with four other winners, one of which was a minor stakes winner with another that was stakes placed. Storm Bird (19 April 1978 – 3 December 2004) was a Canadian-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was the outstanding European two-year-old of 1980, when he was unbeaten in five races, including the Anglesey Stakes, National Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes. His subsequent career was disrupted by injury and illness, and he was well beaten in his only race of 1981. He was then retired to stud, where he became a successful breeding stallion. Mariah's Storm (born April 1, 1991, in Kentucky) is an American thoroughbred racehorse, bred by Donald T. Johnson's Crescent Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
