World Association Of Girl Guides And Girl Scouts
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS ) is a global association supporting the Girl Guides, female-oriented and female-only Guiding and Scouting organizations in 152 countries. It was established in 1928 in Parád, Hungary, and has its headquarters in London, United Kingdom. It is the counterpart of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). WAGGGS is organized into five regions and operates five international Guiding centers. It holds full member status in the European Youth Forum (YFJ), which operates within the Council of Europe and European Union areas and works closely with these bodies. The Israel Catholic Scouts Association () was founded in 1951 from five Scout groups established since 1926. Today, the organization consists of 18 Scout groups which belong to the Greek Catholic, Latin, and Maronite creeds. Three archbishops are Co-Presidents of the organization. Israel Muslim Scouts Association, or the new name Israel Arab Scouts Association (in hebrew: ארגון הצופים הערביים) (''Irgun HaTzofim HaArabim'') was established in 1956. Today there are 14 tribes, most of them in the Galilee, but others are located in Jerusalem, in the center of Israel and in the Triangle.
