The Arab Cup U-20 () is an association football, international football competition organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations, contested by the U-20 national teams in the Arab world. The teams come from Confederation of African Football, CAF and Asian Football Confederation, AFC. Some non-Arab nations, such as Senegal national under-20 football team, Senegal or Uzbekistan national under-20 football team, Uzbekistan, have also been invited on occasion. 2022 Arab Cup U-20
The 2022 Arab Cup U-20 was the sixth edition of the Arab Cup U-20. On 14 April 2022, the Union of Arab Football Associations granted Saudi Arabia the right to host. The tournament took place from 20 July to 7 August. Saudi Arabia were the defending champions, having won the previous edition in 2021. The Palestine Cup ( ar, كأس فلسطين, ''Kaʾs Filasṭīn'') was a football competition which was held between countries in the Arab world. The tournament ''de facto'' acted as the replacement for the Arab Cup during the long interruption between 1966 and 1982, it held on three occasions in Arab countries in the 1970s. The first edition was held in 1972 in Iraq. History The cup was established in 1972 at the initiative of Said al-Sabeh, president of the Supreme Council for Palestinian Youth Welfare. The aim of the initiative was to create a new Arab championship that would reunite sport in the Arab countries, as well as with the aim of proving Arab affiliation and support for the Palestinian cause. The FIFA Arab Cup ( ar, كأس العرب, translit=Kaʾs al-ʿArab), or simply Arab Cup, is an international association football competition which has been organized by FIFA since 2021, and is contested by the senior men's national teams of the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA), the sport's governing body for countries in the Arab world. The current champion is Algeria, which won its first title at the 2021 tournament in Qatar. The championship's inaugural edition was in 1963, held in Lebanon, which was won by Tunisia. After having been played in 1964 and 1966, the Arab Cup was halted for almost 20 years, before being contested in 1985. The 2021 Arab Cup U-17 was to be the fourth edition of the Arab Cup U-17. It was scheduled to be hosted by Morocco from 29 July to 15 August 2021. 2021 Arab Cup U-20
The 2021 Arab Cup U-20 () was the fifth edition of the Arab Cup U-20. It was hosted by Egypt from 20 June to 6 July 2021. The tournament included 12 UAFA-member teams and four invited teams. Senegal were the defending champions but were eliminated in the quarter-finals. Saudi Arabia beat Algeria 2–1 in the final to win their first title. Teams Draw The draw took place on 29 May 2021.
