Apulanta
Apulanta is a Finnish rock band, founded in 1991 when its members were in their mid-teens. In September 2009, Apulanta members established an independent label, Päijät-Hämeen Sorto ja Riisto ("Päijänne Tavastian Oppression and Exploitation"). Since its beginnings, the label has so far gotten one artist, pop singer Kaija Koo in the summer of 2010. In February 2011, they revealed that they had a new prospective artist in the label, though not disclosing their name. Simo "Sipe" Johannes Santapukki (born 20 December, 1977, Lahti, Finland) is a Finnish musician, best known as the drummer for rock band Apulanta. Santapukki graduated from high school Heinolan Lyseonmäen. He joined Apulanta in 1991 and so has been a member of the band since the early days. In 2002, Sipe released his eponymous album featuring numerous notable Finnish singers such as Gösta Sundqvist, Tommi Liimatta, Timo Rautiainen and Hannu Sallinen, as well as Sipe's former girlfriend Anna Eriksson. Santapukki is a big fan of motor sports. In 2004 he won the silver medal in the Finnish Formula 3. Santapukki's art exhibition ''Narrilaivan kapteeni'' (Captain of the Ship of fools) was held in Heinola in 2003. Toni Juhana Wirtanen (born 4 April 1975, in Heinola, Finland) is a Finnish musician, best known as the vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for the rock band Apulanta. Heinola () is a town and a municipality of inhabitants () located in the eastern part of the Päijänne Tavastia region, Finland, near the borders of the South Savonia region and the Kymenlaakso region. A concert is a live music performance in front of an audience.
