''Apt. 13'' is Gob's sixth and most recent studio album, and was released on August 26, 2014. On May 27, 2014, the song "Cold" was available to stream along with information on the album and was also released as the lead single from the album. "Radio Hell" was released as the album's second single. This is the first Gob album to not feature any lead vocals from guitarist Theo Goutzinakis, as well as their first with new bassist Steven Fairweather. Gob (band)
Gob is a Canadian punk rock band from Langley, British Columbia, formed in 1993. The band consists of Tom Thacker, Theo Goutzinakis, Gabe Mantle and Steven Fairweather. They were nominated for a Juno Award for best new group in 2000, and received another Juno nomination for best video in 2002. Gob's most successful album is ''World According to Gob''. Their best-selling songs to date are "I Hear You Calling", "Soda", and "Banshee Song". They have been featured in movies, TV shows, and many sporting video games such as ''NHL 2002'', ''NHL 2003, NHL 2004'' and ''Madden NFL 2004'' with songs such as "Oh! Armoury Studios
Armoury Studios is a Canadian recording studio located in Vancouver, British Columbia's Kitsilano neighbourhood. History The Armoury building was constructed, from the ground up, in 1992 by Canadian songwriter/producer Jim Vallance. Vallance collaborated with architect Howard Airey on the building's design and engineer/producer and studio designer Ron Vermeulen (aka Ron Obvious) oversaw the technical and acoustical elements. Tom Thacker (musician)
Tom Thacker (born 11 April 1974), nicknamed Brown Tom, is a Canadian musician. He is the lead guitarist, lead singer and co-founder of the Canadian punk rock group Gob and rhythm guitarist for Sum 41. Thacker formed Gob with Theo Goutzinakis in 1993. Following Dave Baksh's departure from Sum 41 on May 11, 2006, Thacker was recruited as their touring guitarist, and then became an official member in 2009. He has remained with Sum 41 ever since, even after Baksh rejoined the band in 2015, contributing to three studio releases. Thacker has been in the films '' Going the Distance'' and ''Sharp as Marbles''. Professional career Gob (1993–present) Thacker is one of the vocalists and guitarists in the punk rock band Gob. Muertos Vivos
''Muertos Vivos'' is Gob's fifth studio album. It was released on October 30, 2007 in Canada. It is the only album featuring bassist Tyson Maiko, who left the band in 2008. The album's title is Spanish for "living dead". The first single from the album was "We're All Dying", which got its first radio play on June 18, 2007. The second single, "Underground", was first played on The Fox Vancouver, 99.3. The third single was "Banshee Song", released in 2009. Theo Goutzinakis (born 20 July 1968) is a founding member of the Canadian punk band, Gob. He is the guitarist and vocalist. He is of Greek descent. He has also appeared in the movies '' Going the Distance'' and ''Sharp as Marbles''. He mainly plays Gibson Les Paul and Gibson ES models. Steven Kenneth Fairweather (born December 29, 1977) is a Canadian musician. He is the bassist of the Canadian punk rock band Gob and founder of the Internet radio station, Stranger Radio. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. It is usually held flat against the player's body and played by strumming or plucking the strings with the dominant hand, while simultaneously pressing selected strings against frets with the fingers of the opposite hand. Gabriel "Gabe" Mantle (born October 25, 1975) is a Canadian drummer, mostly known as the drummer of the pop punk group Gob.(October 26, 2000). "Music: Gob", ''The Vancouver Sun'', p. C17.
