The Producers Guild Film Awards for Best Music Director (previously known as the Apsara Award for Best Music Director) is given by the producers of the film and television guild as part of its annual award ceremony to recognise the best Indian film of the year. Producers Guild Film Awards
The Producers Guild Film Awards, previously known as the Apsara Awards, is an award event hosted by the Producers Guild of India to recognize excellence in Hindi film and Television in India, television. Originated by filmmaker and scholar Amit Khanna in 2004, the Guild Awards were one of the major award events from 2004 till 2016, when the last awards ceremony happened. The 22-Carat (purity), karat gold statuette was sculpted and designed by the jewellery brand Tanishq and was "inspired by the rich heritage of one of India's most treasured possessions – the Ajanta Caves, Ajanta and Ellora Caves." Nominations for the awards come from selected members of the guild, with the full membership (around 160) available to vote for the winners. Tere Naam
''Tere Naam'' () is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language romantic tragedy film directed by Satish Kaushik. Written by Bala and Jainendra Jain, the film stars Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla in her Hindi film debut. It is a remake of Bala's own Tamil film '' Sethu'' (1999) which was starred by Vikram. The film was based on a real-life incident of a friend of Bala's, who had fallen in love, lost his mind and ended up at a mental asylum. ''Tere Naam'' was released on 15 August 2003 and became a moderate box-office success, although its soundtrack album was a blockbuster. Khan was praised for his portrayal of Radhe Mohan and the role is widely considered to be his best performance till date. ''Guru'' is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed and co-written by Mani Ratnam. It stars Mithun Chakraborty, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan, Vidya Balan and Roshan Seth.
