Leopoldo Ruiz Y Flóres
Leopoldo Ruiz y Flóres (13 November 1865 – 12 December 1941) was a Mexican prelate of the Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Morelia from 1911 until his death in 1941. He was previously Bishop of Léon from 1900 to 1907 and Archbishop of Linares o Nueva León from 1907 to 1911. During the Church-state negotiations following the Cristero War, he represented the Holy See as its Apostolic Delegate to Mexico. Serafino Cimino OFM (3 October 1873 – 4 May 1928) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who led the Franciscans and then served in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. Biography Born Antonio Cimino on 3 October 1873 in Capri, Italy, he took the name Serafino as a member of the Order of Friars Minor and was ordained a priest in 1898. He taught at the Ateneo Antoniano in Rome. For two years he did pastoral work among Italian immigrants in New York. From 1915 to 1921 he served as Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor. Ernesto Eugenio Filippi (17 May 1879 – 23 August 1951) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Monreale in Sicily from 1925 until his death in 1951. He also worked briefly in the diplomatic service of the Holy See, as Apostolic Delegate to Mexico from 1921 to 1923 and Apostolic Delegate to Constantinople from 1923 to 1925. Pietro Benedetti, MSC (19 May 1867 – 7 September 1930) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who was a leader of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart and also worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See in Mexico, Cuba, and Puerto Rico for several years. Biography Pietro Benedetti was born on 19 May 1867 in Falvaterra, Italy. He joined the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in 1883 and was ordained a priest on 21 December 1889. He taught for a decade in Barcelona, developing a personal relationship with the Catalan poet Jacint Verdaguer. He translated Verdaguer's poems and published them in his parish bulletin during the First World War. His Italian translation of a collection of Verdaguer's poems was published in 1921. Tommaso Pio Boggiani O.P. (19 January 1863 – 26 February 1942) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who had a varied career that included a stint as the Apostolic Delegate to Mexico, service as bishop of Adria and archbishop of Genoa, and senior assignments in the Roman Curia. Pier Francesco Meglia (3 November 1810 – 31 March 1883) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church, who spent his career in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He was made a cardinal in 1879.
