Apostolic Nunciature To Malaysia
The Apostolic Nunciature to Malaysia is the diplomatic mission of the Holy See to Malaysia, equivalent to an embassy. It is located at 17 Jalan Ampang Hilir, Kuala Lumpur. The Delegation to Malaysia was raised to the rank of Nunciature to Malaysia on 27 July 2011, when Malaysia became the 179th state to establish diplomatic relations with the Holy See. The Apostolic Nunciature to Malaysia is an ecclesiastical office of the Catholic Church in Malaysia, with the rank of ambassador. The nuncio serves both as the ambassador of the Pope (as head of State of Vatican City) to the King of Malaysia, and as delegate and point-of-contact between the Catholic hierarchy in Malaysia and the Pope (as head of the church). The Holy See ( lat, Sancta Sedes, ; it, Santa Sede ), also called the See of Rome, Petrine See or Apostolic See, is the jurisdiction of the Pope in his role as the bishop of Rome. Silvio Luoni
Silvio Luoni (7 July 1920 – 11 April 1982) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who worked in the Vatican's Secretariat of State and in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. Biography Silvio Luoni was born in Busto Arsizio, Italy, on 7 July 1920. He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Milan on 1 October 1944. He joined the staff of the Secretariat of State in 1950 or 1953. On 12 September 1966, then a priest of the Diocese of Rome, he was made a Prelate of Honour of His Holiness, entitled "Monsignor". Wojciech Załuski
Wojciech Załuski (born 5 April 1960) is a Polish prelate of the Catholic Church who has worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See since 1985. He has been an apostolic nuncio and an archbishop since 2014. Biography He was born in Załuski-Lipniewo, in the center-east of Poland, on 5 April 1960. He earned a degree in canon law. On 1 June 1985, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Łomza. He joined the diplomatic service of the Holy See on 1 July 1989 and filled assignments in Burundi, Malta, Albania, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Ukraine, the Philippines, and Guatemala. Joseph Salvador Marino (born January 23, 1953) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who worked in the Vatican diplomatic service from 1988 to 2019 and then served as president of the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy until 2023. Salvatore Pennacchio (born 7 September 1952 in Marano, Italy) is a Catholic archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See, currently president of the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy. Adriano Bernardini (born 13 August 1942) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who occupied positions in the diplomatic service of the Holy See from the 1970s until he retired in 2017. Luigi Bressan (born 9 February 1940) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who worked from 1971 to 1999 in the diplomatic service of the Holy See and then served as Archbishop of Trento until 2016. Biography Alberto Tricarico was born in Gallipoli, Italy, on 10 August 1927. He was ordained a priest on 6 January 1950.
