Apostolic Church Of Christ (Pentecostal)
Apostolic Church of Christ (Pentecostal) is a Pentecostal Christian denomination founded in North Carolina in 1969 by Johnnie Draft and Wallace Snow. Both these men had been members of the Church of God (Apostolic) prior to establishing this church. The only difference between the Apostolic Church of Christ (Pentecostal) and that from which it was founded is its organization, a centralized church polity. Authority is vested in the executive board, which owns all the church property. This was a departure from the organization the Church of God (Apostolic) had, where an Overseer and an "International General Assembly" governs the church and its property. The Apostolic Faith Church, formerly the Apostolic Faith Mission, is a Holiness Pentecostal denomination of Christianity, with nationwide reach and headquartered in Portland, Oregon, United States. The Apostolic Faith Mission of Portland was founded in 1907 by Florence L. Crawford, who was affiliated with William J. Seymour and the Azusa Street Revival of Los Angeles, California. By 1908 Crawford had independently founded what would become the Apostolic Faith Church. Since July 2000, the Superintendent General of the Apostolic Faith Church has been Darrel Lee. The Apostolic Faith Church has a presence in the United States, Canada and across Africa, Asia, Europe, Central and South America, and Australia. Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church Of God
The Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God was founded in 1916 as the Ethiopian Overcoming Holy Church of God by the late Bishop W.T. Phillips in Mobile, Alabama. The Church was locally incorporated on July 14, 1920. Believing that God’s message was to all people on April 1, 1941, the church changed its name and was incorporated in the State of Alabama as the Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God. The church spread to many parts of the United States and into foreign territories. Bishop Phillips led the church successfully for 57 years. He died on November 24, 1973, and Senior Bishop Jasper Roby served as the National Presider until May 2000. In June 2000, Bishop George W. Ayers, Ph.D. was voted by the Executive board as the National/International Presiding Prelate. His position was reaffirmed in June 2002 and he served faithfully until his death in 2015. Oneness Pentecostalism (also known as Apostolic, Jesus' Name Pentecostalism, or the Jesus Only movement) is a nontrinitarian religious movement within the Protestant Christian family of churches known as Pentecostalism. It derives its name from its teaching on the Godhead, a form of Modalistic Monarchianism commonly referred to as the Oneness doctrine. The doctrine states that there is one God―a singular divine spirit with no distinction of persons―who manifests himself in many ways, including as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Apostolic Gospel Church of Jesus Christ is a church in the Oneness Pentecostalism movement that was founded in Bell Gardens, California in 1963 by Donald Abernathy. By 1968, five congregations existed in Abernathy's church in the Los Angeles region of southern California. In 1968, Abernathy reported a series of visions whereby it was shown to him that the west coast of North America would be devastated by a massive earthquake. After one of the pastors in the church reported a confirmatory vision, the church decided to relocate. Abernathy took one congregation to Atlanta, Georgia, while others went to Kennett, Missouri, Independence, Missouri, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Apostolic Brethren (sometimes referred to as Apostolici, Apostoli, Apostles) were a Christianity, Christian sect founded in northern Italy in the latter half of the 13th century by Gerard Segarelli, a native of Alzano in the territory of Parma. He was of low birth and without education, applied for membership in the Franciscan order at Parma, and was rejected.
