Apostasy (band)
Apostasy is a Swedish black metal band formed in 2000. History The original lineup from 2000 (the band should not be confused with the earlier Norwegian band of the same name) consisted of Håkan Björklund and Mathias Edin of Kramfors, Sweden. They recruited Mattias' brother Fredric Edin on vocals and bass, and Lars Engström on guitar.Simmonds, Jeremy (2008) ''The Encyclopedia of Dead Rock Stars'', Chicago Review Press, , p.570-571 The band name at this time was Marchosias, taken from the demon with the same name. In January 2002 the band recorded their first demo, simply titled ''Demo 2002'', in Studio Underground in Västerås, Sweden. The two songs on this demo remained as demo material and are considered to be of the "Marchosias" time. One of the songs, "Demons of The Night", would also end up on the compilation CD for Smack Rock Festival 2002, a small festival held in Sundsvall for a few years before being cancelled. Later in the year of 2002, Andreas Edin (bass) and Den ...

Kramfors
Kramfors () is a locality and the seat of Kramfors Municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden. It had a population of 5,990 inhabitants in 2010. The town grew on the western bank of the Ångerman river in the 19th century as harvested logs were floated downriver to be processed at local sawmills and pulp mills. Christopher Kramm introduced the river's first steam-driven saw, naming it after himself. The name of the town in turn derives from his name and the word ("rapid"). In the 1960s and 1970s, as the timber industry went into decline, the population of Kramfors declined as well. The original settlement of Kramfors was located in Gudmundrå municipality, but in 1889 received the status of a so-called or borough, still remaining part of the original municipality. In 1947 it was awarded city status, one of the last in the country to do so. Since municipal reform in 1974, it serves as the seat of Kramfors Municipality. The municipality of Kramfors has about 20,000 inhabitants ...

Shining (Swedish Band)
Shining is a Swedish black metal band formed in 1996 by Niklas Kvarforth in Halmstad, Sweden. The band's music contains depressive undertones, which include personal and suicide-themed lyrics. The band's name does not refer to the book '' The Shining'' or the film based on it, but rather it means "the path to enlightenment", according to Kvarforth. History Kvarforth is the main composer and vocalist of the band and started the band when he was twelve. By the time Kvarforth was fourteen, Shining had released their first EP '' Submit to Selfdestruction'' (1998) on which he played guitars and bass. It was not until the band released their first album, ''Within Deep Dark Chambers'' (2000), that Kvarforth became the band's vocalist. The band released two more albums ''Livets ändhållplats'' (2001) and '' Angst, Självdestruktivitetens Emissarie'' (2002), before splitting up in August 2004. Their fourth album, ''The Eerie Cold'' (2005), was supposed to be their last, but the band ...

MarchosiaS
In demonology, Marchosias is a great and mighty Marquis of Hell, commanding thirty legions of demons. In the Ars Goetia, the first book of ''The Lesser Key of Solomon'' (17th century), he is depicted as a wolf with gryphon's wings and a serpent's tail, spewing fire from his mouth, but at the request of the magician he may take the form of a man. He is a strong fighter and gives true answers to all questions, and is very faithful to the magician in following his commands. Before his fall he belonged to the angelic order of Dominations (or Dominions), and when he was bound by Solomon he told him that after 1,200 years he hoped to return to Heaven ("unto the Seventh Throne"). In the ''Pseudomonarchia Daemonum'' (1577) of Johann Weyer the demon is called Marchocias and his description is much the same as that given in the Goetia except that his gender when appearing as a wolf is female ("a cruel she wolf") and spewing forth "I cannot tell what" from his mouth. He likewise hopes to eve ...

Brütal Legend
''Brütal Legend'' is an action-adventure video game with real-time strategy game elements created by Double Fine and published by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was released during October 2009 in North America, Europe, and Australia. Though ''Brütal Legend'' was originally to be published by Vivendi Games prior to its merger with Activision, Activision dropped the game from its portfolio after the merger. It was later picked up by Electronic Arts, though Activision and Double Fine brought counter-lawsuits against each other over publishing issues. The issues were settled out of court. Later, Double Fine announced a port of the game for Microsoft Windows via Steam, which was released in February 2013. Mac OS X and Linux versions of the game were made available as part of the Humble Bundle in May 2013. A physical collector's edition for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux was released by IndieBox in October 2014. Tim Schafer, the game's creative director, ...

Video Game
Video games, also known as computer games, are electronic games that involves interaction with a user interface or input device such as a joystick, controller, keyboard, or motion sensing device to generate visual feedback. This feedback mostly commonly is shown on a video display device, such as a TV set, monitor, touchscreen, or virtual reality headset. Some computer games do not always depend on a graphics display, for example text adventure games and computer chess can be played through teletype printers. Video games are often augmented with audio feedback delivered through speakers or headphones, and sometimes with other types of feedback, including haptic technology. Video games are defined based on their platform, which include arcade video games, console games, and personal computer (PC) games. More recently, the industry has expanded onto mobile gaming through smartphones and tablet computers, virtual and augmented reality systems, and remote c ...

Symphonic Black Metal
Symphonic black metal is a subgenre of black metal that emerged in the 1990s and incorporates symphonic and orchestral elements. Notable symphonic black metal bands include Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, and Carach Angren. History The first extreme metal bands incorporating orchestral elements into their music were Bulldozer on their album ''Neurodeliri'' (1988), Master's Hammer on ''Ritual'' (1991) and '' The Jilemnice Occultist'' (1993) and Sigh on their debut ''Scorn Defeat'' (1993). The style on Emperor's ''In the Nightside Eclipse'' (1994) had a pioneering influence though and was the main inspiration for many keyboard-based black metal bands following after. Troll's ''Drep de kristne'' (1995) and Arcturus' ''Aspera Hiems Symfonia'' (1996) are other notable early works of symphonic black metal, before the genre was commercialised by the international success of bands like Dimmu Borgir and Bal Sagoth.
