Apollonia van Ravenstein (born August 12, 1954) is a Dutch retired model and actress. She attained success in the 1970s as a fashion model and appeared on the cover of various '' Vogue'' magazines. As an actress, she had roles in the films ''Seraphita's Diary'' (1982), '' Nothing Lasts Forever'' (1984), and ''Flodder'' (1986). Ara Gallant (1932–1990) was an American hairstylist who was noted for perfecting the "flying hair" technique while working for ''Vogue'' in the 1960s. He later became a fashion photographer. Early life Gallant was born Ira Gallantz in the Bronx, New York into a Russian Jewish family. He had a brother who was murdered in the 1980s. The Factory was Andy Warhol's studio in New York City, which had four locations between 1963 and 1987. The Factory became famed for its parties in the 1960s. It was the hip hangout spot for artists, musicians, celebrities and Warhol's superstars. The original Factory was often referred to as the Silver Factory. In the studio, Warhol's workers would make silkscreens and lithographs under his direction. History Due to the mess his work was causing at home, Warhol wanted to find a studio where he could paint.
