Apollo (Battlestar Galactica)
Apollo is the name of two characters in the Battlestar Galactica universe: Original Continuity Apollo is the son of Commander Adama & Ila. He is played by Richard Hatch (who also portrays Tom Zarek in the 2004–2009 series ''Battlestar Galactica''). Apollo has a sister Athena, also a Warrior, and a brother Zac who was killed in a Cylon ambush prior to their attack on the 12 colonies. Apollo's mother was killed in the attack on the colonies. Richard Hatch (actor)
Richard Lawrence Hatch (May 21, 1945 – February 7, 2017) was an American actor, writer, and producer. Hatch began his career as a stage actor before moving on to television work in the 1970s. Hatch is best known for his role as Captain Apollo in the original ''Battlestar Galactica (1978 TV series), Battlestar Galactica'' television series. He is also widely known for his role as Tom Zarek in the reimagined ''Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series), Battlestar Galactica''. Laura Roslin
Laura Roslin is a fictional character in the re-imagined ''Battlestar Galactica'' series, portrayed by Mary McDonnell. She is the President of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol and is one of the primary characters in the show. Character biography Background In Season 4's episode "Faith," Roslin's mother is revealed to have died from breast cancer. In "Daybreak", Roslin is shown to have had two sisters, one of whom is pregnant, and a father prior to the Cylon attack on the Colonies. Kobol
"Kobol's Last Gleaming" is the two-part first-season finale of the reimagined ''Battlestar Galactica'' television series. In the first part, the human fleet discovers the abandoned planet Kobol, the mythical birthplace of humanity, who left here and founded the Twelve Colonies of Kobol elsewhere in the galaxy. A survey team is stranded there by Cylons while President Laura Roslin convinces Starbuck to disobey orders and retrieve an artifact called the Arrow of Apollo. In the second part, Commander William Adama stages a military coup and places Roslin in '' Galactica''s brig. Starbuck retrieves the Arrow and discovers that Boomer, still on ''Galactica'', is a Cylon. This Boomer destroys the Cylon Basestar orbiting Kobol, returns to ''Galactica'', and shoots Commander Adama; the season ends on a cliffhanger.
