''Apocalypse'' is the second studio album by American musician Thundercat. It was released in July 2013 under the label Brainfeeder. In February 2014, Thundercat released a double video on the MySpace website for the 10th and 11th tracks from the album, respectively titled "Evangelion" and "We'll Die", which were both directed by the photographer B+ (Brian Cross), who also shot the album art. Stephen Lee Bruner (born October 19, 1984), better known by his stage name Thundercat, is an American bass guitarist, singer, producer, and songwriter from Los Angeles. First coming to prominence as a member of crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, he has since released four solo studio albums and is noted for his work with producer Flying Lotus and his appearances on Kendrick Lamar's 2015 album ''To Pimp a Butterfly''. In 2016, Thundercat won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance for his work on the track " These Walls" from ''To Pimp a Butterfly''. In 2020, Thundercat released his fourth studio album titled '' It Is What It Is'', which earned him a Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is a music chart published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks R&B and hip hop albums based on sales in the United States and is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. The chart debuted as Hot R&B LPs in the issue dated January 30, 1965 in an effort by the magazine to further expand into the field of rhythm and blues music. It then went through several name changes, being known as Soul LPs in the 1970s and Top Black Albums in the 1980s, before returning to the R&B identification in 1990 and affixing a hip hop designation in 1999 to reflect the latter's growing sales and relationship to R&B during the decade. Brian Cross (born in 1966), better known as B+ (sometimes stylized as B Plus), is an Irish photographer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He is a co-founder of Mochilla, a film and music production company. He predominantly photographed the Los Angeles' hip hop scene in the 1990s as well as helped create album art for a number of artists including Q-Tip, Eazy-E, Damian Marley, DJ Shadow, and J Dilla.
