Apewosika is a suburb of Cape Coast and a community in the Cape Coast Municipality in the Central Region of Ghana. History Apewosika is said to be about 200 years old. Central Region (Ghana)
The Central Region is one of the sixteen administrative regions of Ghana. It is bordered by Ashanti and Eastern regions to the north, Western region to the west, Greater Accra region to the east, and to the south by the Gulf of Guinea. Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly is one of the twenty-two districts in Central Region, Ghana. Originally created as an municipal district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Cape Coast Municipal District, which was created from the Cape Coast Municipal Council; until it was later elevated to metropolitan district assembly status on 29 February 2008 to become Cape Coast Metropolitan District. The municipality is located in the southwest part of Central Region and has Cape Coast as its capital town; which is also the regional capital of the Central Region. Cape Coast
Cape Coast is a city, fishing port, and the capital of Cape Coast Metropolitan District and Central Region of Ghana. It is one of the country's most historic cities, a World Heritage Site, home to the Cape Coast Castle, with the Gulf of Guinea situated to its south. According to the 2010 census, Cape Coast had a settlement population of 169,894 people. The language of the people of Cape Coast is Fante. The older traditional names of the city are Oguaa and Kotokuraba (meaning "River of Crabs" or "Village of Crabs"). Kwamena Minta Nyarku
Kwamena Minta Nyarku (born 7 December 1974) is a Ghanaian academic and politician who is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He is the member of parliament for the Cape Coast North Constituency in the Central Region of Ghana. Early life and education Nyarku was born on 7 December 1974. He hails from Apewosika, Cape Coast in Central Region of Ghana. He completed his GCE Ordinary level and GCE Advanced level certificate in Business in 1992 and 1996 respectively at Adisadel College, Cape Coast. He further moved to the Komenda Training College completing with a Teacher Certificate A (3 year Post Sec Teacher Cert A) in 1995. In 2000, he completed a bachelor's degree in education with emphasis on Business Education at the University of Cape Coast. He went on to the University of Ghana Business School, graduating with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing in 2003.
