Apache Click
Apache Click is a page and component oriented web application framework for the Java language and is built on top of the Java Servlet API. It is a free and open-source project distributed under the Apache license and runs on any JDK installation (1.5 or later). Click was initially created by Malcolm Edgar as the click.sourceforce.net project in 2003. The project then graduated to an Apache top-level project in November 2009 with Bob Schellink. The project was retired in May 2014. Overview The main design goals are simplicity, ease of use, performance and scalability. To achieve these goals Click leverages an intuitive page and component oriented design. Pages and components provide good encapsulation of web concepts and enables rapid application development. Click takes a pragmatic approach and expose few abstractions to learn and understand. JavaServer Faces
Jakarta Faces, formerly Jakarta Server Faces and JavaServer Faces (JSF) is a Java specification for building component-based user interfaces for web applications and was formalized as a standard through the Java Community Process being part of the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition. It is also an MVC web framework that simplifies the construction of user interfaces (UI) for server-based applications by using reusable UI components in a page. JSF 2.x uses Facelets as its default templating system. Users of the software may also choose to employ technologies such as XUL, or Java. Stripes (framework)
Stripes is an open source web application framework based on the model–view–controller (MVC) pattern. It aims to be a lighter weight framework than Struts by using Java technologies such as annotations and generics that were introduced in Java 1.5, to achieve "convention over configuration". The Spring Framework is an application framework and inversion of control container for the Java platform. Apache Struts 2 is an open-source web application framework for developing Java EE web applications. Apache Wicket, commonly referred to as Wicket, is a component-based web application framework for the Java programming language conceptually similar to JavaServer Faces and Tapestry.
