Aníbal Tarabini
Aníbal Roberto Tarabini (4 August 1941 – 21 April 1997) was an Argentine football player who played for the Argentina national team and was part of the squad for the 1966 World Cup. At club level, he won two league championships with Independiente in 1967 and 1970. Biography Tarabini made his debut in 1960 for Estudiantes de La Plata, in 1961 he joined 2nd division Temperley where he played until 1965. In 1966 he joined Independiente where he is said to have played his best football and was part of the squad that won the Nacional in 1967 and the Metropolitano in 1970. In 1971 Tarabini joined Boca Juniors where he played a total of 22 games in all competitions for the club, scoring three goals. He then went to Mexico where he played for (now defunct) Club de Fútbol Torreón until 1973. Tarabini's last club was AS Monaco of France, he retired in 1974. La Plata
La Plata () is the capital city of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. According to the , it has a population of 654,324 and its metropolitan area, the Greater La Plata, has 787,294 inhabitants. Patricia Tarabini (born 6 August 1968) is a former tennis player from Argentina. She represented her country and won the bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic games, with Paola Suárez, where they lost 7–9 in the third set to eventual gold medalists from China, Sun Tiantian and Li Ting. On 9 May 1988, Tarabini reached her highest singles ranking of world No. 29. Her career-high doubles ranking is No. 12, which she achieved on 17 August 1998. Patricia turned pro in 1986, and won a total of 15 top-level doubles titles in her career. The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I. Metropolitano Championship
The Metropolitano championship ("Campeonato Metropolitano") was an Argentine football tournament which existed between 1967 and 1984. The Metropolitano formed one half of the Primera División, taking place in the first half of the year, while the Nacional championship ("Campeonato Nacional") took place in the 2nd half of the year. This arrangement lasted until 1982 when they were reversed. The Metropolitano and Nacional were abandoned to make way for European style seasons beginning in 1985–1986. The Metropolitano utilized a number of different formats, including the basic league table, 2 groups qualifying to semi-finals.
