Anwara Syed Haq
Anwara Syed Haq (born 1940) is a writer of Bangla literature. She has written a number of novels, short stories, children's books and also written a number of essays. She has been praised for using her knowledge of human psychology beautifully in her writings. She is a psychiatrist by profession. In 2019 her achievements for language and literature were rewarded with the Ekushey Padak. Early life Anwara Syed Haq was born into a conservative Muslim family in the town of Jessore. She passed her childhood and teenage years in Jessore. Her father was a very pious man and insisted that she observe religious customs. She rarely had the opportunity to read novels, magazines or literary material in her school and college days. Her father's wish was that she would study medicine whereas her wish was that she would study English literature. Syed Shamsul Haq (27 December 1935 – 27 September 2016) was a Bangladeshi writer. He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1966 (the youngest among all to receive it), Ekushey Padak in 1984 and Independence Day Award in 2000 by the Government of Bangladesh for his contributions to Bangla literature. His notable works include ''"Payer Awaj Pawa Jai"'', ''"Nishiddho Loban"'', ''"Khelaram Khele Ja"'', ''"Neel Dongshon"'' and ''"Mrigoya"''. Early life Haq was born in Kurigram on 27 December 1935 to Syed Siddique Husain, a homeopathic physician, and Halima Khatun. He was the eldest of the eight children. In 1951, he went to Bombay to work as an assistant to film director Kamal Amrohi while he was making his film '' Mahal'' but left the job the next year. The Bangla Academy Literary Award ( bn, বাংলা একাডেমি সাহিত্য পুরস্কার; ''Bangla Academy Shahitya Puroshkar''), is given by the Bangla Academy of Bangladesh in recognition of creative genius in advancement and overall contribution in the field of Bengali language and literature. Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (abbreviated DMCH) is a public medical college and hospital located in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It houses medical school as well as a tertiary care hospital on one campus. The country's first ever autologous bone marrow transplant took place in its bone marrow transplant unit.
