Anurag Kulkarni is an Indian playback singer who works predominantly in Telugu language films. Early life and career Kulkarni was born in a Marathi family in Kamareddy, Telangana. He started learning Hindustani classical music with late Kakunoori Jangaiah, a Hindustani vocalist and guru in Hyderabad. He was trained in kirana gharana Kirana gharana is one of the Indian classical khyal gharanas, and is concerned foremost with perfect intonation of notes (swara).
