Anup Kumar (অনুপ কুমার) (17 June 1930 – 3 September 1998) was an Indian actor who is known for his work in Bengali cinema. Early life Anup Kumar was born on 17 June 1930 in Calcutta, British India. His real name was Satyen Das. His parents were Dhirendra Nath Das who was a singer and actor and was closely associated with the famous poet and composer, Kazi Nazrul Islam 899-1976 and Bijoya Das. He passed his Matriculation at the Calcutta Jubilee Institution. In 1986, he married actress Aloka Ganguly. Acting career Anup Kumar took his acting lessons from his father and Sisir Kumar Bhaduri. He started acting quite early in life. He got his first break as a child artist in Dhiren Ganguly's film '' Halkatha'' (1938). Anup Kumar (kabaddi)
Anup Kumar is an Indian former professional Kabaddi player and Kabaddi Coach of PKL Team Puneri Paltan. He was a member of the India national kabaddi team that won Asian gold medals in 2010 and 2014, one South Asian gold medal in 2016 and the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. He was the captain of the Indian National Kabaddi Team. He spent five years with U Mumba and later moved to Jaipur Pink Panthers. In 2012, the Government of India conferred the Arjuna Award on him for his achievements in the sport. He is employed as a Deputy Commissioner of Police in his native State of Haryana. Anoop Kumar is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. He made his debut in the 2006 film, ''Vattaram'' directed by Saran. Career Anoop is the grandson of Telugu film director V. Madhusudhana Rao. Director Saran launched Anoop in ''Vattaram'', where he played a character role in love with Vasundhara Kashyap's character. Thereafter, Anoop produced a film, ''Kathi Kappal'', in which he played the lead role. The film, which featured him alongside Meera Vasudevan, won poor reviews with a critic noting "after a point, his scruffy face makes you want to shake him out of misery."
